personally I do because the online NASCAR experience is amazing and I want to see if PD can make that experience even better.

aww they won't have the newer versions of the NASCARs (gen 6)?

if they don't I wont care, maybe a little, but as long as they are in the game!

EDIT: also where can I see when this page was made?

That isn't a full car list. The list at the bottom is just showing cars from 5 confirmed to be in 6. There is still a chance at the new models of the Nascar Cars because the full list of new cars hasn't been announced yet.

true... hopefully you're right

I just wish they did it properly this time instead of the messy and underused excuse for a license they showed in GT5.

I found NASCAR (and WRC) in GT5 to be a fruitless exercise in license flag-waving instead of the immersive experience that they should've been. NASCAR in particular really just served to highlight PD's shortcomings in respect to the gameplay.

NASCAR on SSRX is amazing. 245-mph drafting battle. I just want a better course maker so I can re-create Bristol or Watkins Glen, so yes.

Couldn't care less about NASCAR to be honest. It just means more cars for me to drive.

The ridiculously overpowered slipstreaming killed the excitement of NASCAR in GT5, but the cars were an absolute blast to drive on road circuits. Bring them back says I.

They're quite fun to drive, but adding 10+ NASCAR's of each year doesn't add anything for me, and only makes the impression they're trying to artificially inflate the car count by counting each livery as its own model.

I've always thought that liveries should be treated as paint colors, and there is only one purchasable car in the dealer ship, like 1 Chevy Impala NASCAR, and a paint scheme for each driver.

While I agree, some folks have made a valid point that the interiors do change around between the cars. Though I haven't looked, I imagine that's mostly stickers and sponsors though, not structural differences, so I'm not sure.

Anywho, I definitely still want them in; Nascars on CM's at the full 24H 'Ring is still one of the brightest, most fun memories I have of playing GT5.

Well we know it's there but if I had the choice hell no,so as per GT5 I will try to win it once then ignore it for eternity.:)

Yes we want them included. It would also be nice to tune each individual wheel. I would like more oval tracks and/or the ability to easily create oval tracks. Being able to make a figure 8 would also be a bonus.

I wish they would also make a plain stock car that could be painted. I would also like one that is lighter and more nimble. All of the above would make the game more fun which the series desperately needs.

I don't mind having NASCAR. There's no harm in it and it's more cars and racing series in the game. However, I don't actively desire it because it's not that big of a deal. Regardless, I wouldn't want it promoted like it was with GT5 because it had a lot of NASCAR fans unrealistically expecting a major NASCAR presence in GT5 even though logic would have suggested otherwise.

I don't want more ovals. I'd rather have more road courses rather than wasting development time and disc space on ovals. I'm fine with having an ability to easily generate ovals, though, and honestly it should be an easy thing to add, relative to the course maker we already had in GT5. A generic, paintable stock car would be good if we had a proper livery editor. In Forza, I have community replicas of several Sprint Cup cars as well as various liveries from Talladega Nights and from Days of Thunder.

There are plenty of ovals that have good road courses attached. I'd be very happy to see those added. Oval racing is an under-appreciated skill, but I agree that I wouldn't sacrifice road racing for it. Combined courses give the best of both worlds.

I feel that most rovals (road course ovals) are pretty average, but that shouldn't stop PD trying their hand at making an original one. Or they could just bring back Red Rock Valley Speedway, that would be perfect for a stock car event.

Oh, I agree that most of them suck. Indianapolis is especially bad IMO.

But there are a few that I enjoy. Charlotte is great fun with it's rolling infield, and I've always had a soft spot for Homestead-Miami and California Speedway/Auto Club Speedway. Homestead for the way you come down off the oval being so very difficult yet rewarding, and Auto Club for it's windy exciting last section.

And there's always old Monza without any chicanes and including the old banking, which is basically a big oval circuit too. And Daytona is a reasonable road course I feel, it requires some real skill to get the most out of a car around that layout.

Those are just the ones I've enjoyed driving in other games, I'm sure there's a few more out there that haven't made their way into popular games yet. Adding in Motegi and a few fantasy tracks I don't think it would be tough to get a reasonable sized oval roster that didn't sacrifice the road racing side.

And if we wanted, there are some GREAT road circuits that NASCAR race on as well (WatkinsGlenWatkinsGlenWatkinsGlenWatkinsGlenWatkinsGlen).

i know virtually nothing about NASCAR but i voted yes because i just want as many choices as possible in my GT6 experience :) The more options, the better for me personally. I can see the point of "if it isn't done right (as a mode) then it shouldn't be done at all", but for me, i just enjoy the driving rather than the competition of it all. My lack of skills and lack of a worthy setup means i'll never be able to compete anyway, with serious GT players out there, so having NASCAR gives me another style of driving to enjoy and try to master, regardless of the mode lacking in depth.

Some might say (rightfully) that why should the NASCAR fans have to put up with a token gesture of a mode, just so noobs like me can pootle around in a different vehicle livery as a sunday driver, but i think that Polyphony are unlikely to suddenly throw the kitchen sink at NASCAR mode for GT6, so SOMEthing is better than nothing i guess. A lesser of two disappointments.

Why not? Besides, we KNOW they are already in. Some newer models would be great, and maybe some classics. Watkins Glen added and bringing back Sonoma (Infineon) would also be more than welcomed. A plain jane that is paintable would be awesome.

How much development time and money has been wasted with all the PR events? Don't blame a form of racing you don't like. Put the blame with PD where it belongs.

~snip~ Oval track racing is the predominant form of auto racing in the United States. According to the 2013 National Speedway Directory, the total number of oval tracks, drag strips and road courses in the United States is 1,262, with 901 of those being oval tracks and 683 of those being dirt tracks. ~snip~

Oval racing gets in your blood just like any other type of racing. For some it is road courses for others it is an oval and others it is drag racing. I can't help what I like and it would be nice if PD threw all us a bone. I'm not holding my breath though so far far I'm not impressed. That is why I built a new PC.

And before someone jumps in and says that quote was about US racing only. I am fully aware of that fact. I was only letting you know our point of view.
