I am glad that GT has included NASCAR. For me the detail of the cars, has made the cars look better then EA ever did, and the interiors do changes slightly. Mainly the gauges setup vary. Still have not tried NASCAR on Green Hell tho. Kaz said it was fun to drive it in GT5. Hell NASCAR will invade the land down under now. :D

How much development time and money has been wasted with all the PR events? Don't blame a form of racing you don't like. Put the blame with PD where it belongs.

A concern about trading off resources to build ovals vs. road courses is as legitimate an issue as any other when it comes to including Nascar in the game. In fact it's probably the most logical concern one could have about including Nascar.

Having said that, the ovals are already in the game and there is a base of Nascar fans that play the game as evidenced by the number of Nascar rooms online. I'd like to see some iconic oval tracks added to the game to fill out the roster along with a selection of vintage cars, even though I'm not a fan of racing Nascar online.

Voted "Don't Care".....I don't follow NASCAR at all, like some of the other guys here I've done the A-Spec events that were required to trophy in the game but haven't driven one since I completed the events. A lot of guys like them but I'm more into the vintage races and prototypes, I like the Japanese GT series and look forward to the Goodwood events in the new game.

it doesn't exist anymore... its a mall now *facepalm* I live about 10 mins from where it used to be

I don't recall how long it took to get there from where I lived, Singer Street, I think it was, in what was then called Sunnymead. Graduated HS from Moreno Valley High. 32 years ago.

if many of the cars that are still pending in revealing are nascar liverys I think I'll go mad

Imagine the epic burn if they count the 15th Anniversary cars as separate in the car count along with 10-15 new Nascar cars?:banghead:

Am a bit nervous why we keep seeing the same cars in all the trailers...
Does make me think the count might be a bit fishy and they don't have too many more exceptional cars to show.

I have been having the same feeling.

^GT5 was very much 'fishy' in the car amount regard and since PD knows that tactic works they'll keep doing it until it isn't acceptable.

For example 'that other game' had 3 times the amount of cars (including DLC) using common sense rules, but the advertisement says GT5 had twice more.

The sound sample that PD used for transmission whine in GT5 killed NASCAR for me, as well as some race cars & tuned cars. I voted for your 3rd option. But if they make the sounds better, then I wouldn't mind giving it another go.

Yes, I want NASCAR in the game. No, I don't want a NASCAR A-Spec event in the game; it took me 15 tries to come in 1st at Grand Valley.

I'm happy they're back in GT6. Enjoyed driving them in 5. I had a lot of fun driving them at the Nurburgring and around Monza and Suzuka. Driving them around Bathurst and Silverstone will be great. Not too fussed if they added the '13 or '14 cars. Would be nice to have some older ones though. Earnhardt's #3 Monte Carlo or Petty's Superbird.
Would also be nice if they made the most of the license too.

The problem in Gran Turismo 5 wasn't NASCAR. The problem was that it could have been better implemented and utilized. Would I want NASCAR in GT6? I am more "I wouldn't mind."

What I think would have worked better is if NASCAR was included as downloadable content (DLC) with a more complete package. All that would have been needed for NASCAR in Gran Turismo is for shorter ovals. Otherwise, NASCAR in GT5 had at least some sort of high-speed ovals on the superspeedway front. Motegi's oval was more like the good intermediate oval. I think you NASCAR fans can agree- some short tracks and some mile-long tracks would have sweetened the NASCAR deal. The game could have featured certain short tracks NASCAR races on like Martinsville, Bristol, Richmond, Iowa, and tracks like that. Mile-long tracks could have included tracks like Phoenix, Dover, or the boring New Hampshire oval. I also wished Gran Turismo would have made an effort to showcase NASCAR road racing. Say what you want about NASCAR- they do know great road courses. I am more likely to watch NASCAR road racing than almost any other event excluding the major oval races in NASCAR.

Besides these implementation issues, I also wouldn't mind more historic NASCAR cars. Give me some of the cars from NASCAR's Aero Wars (like the Superbird). I don't mind racing Richard Petty's #43 Dodge Charger. Maybe I feel like Intimidating others with that hot black and silver #3 Chevrolet. Maybe drive a few vintage Ford Fairlanes? I also wouldn't mind seeing Nationwide cars as well as the NASCAR Trucks.

So do I want NASCAR in Gran Turismo 6? I surely don't mind it. I just wish it were implemented better speaking as a motorsports enthusiast. All I ask is more enhanced material to spice up the NASCAR offerings.

It's a shame indeed.

For example, the 15 premium GT500 cars in GT5 are actually just 7 different cars. 👎
