Hi everyone,

This is somehow a pool... So this is the question:

Would you like to chose just the colors of the cars or also the interior and the wheels (the real optionals of each car)?

Everything, like you could do on Test Drive Unlimited.👍

Agreed, TD:U was great since I could personalise my car a bit more than I could in other games. I also hope GT includes other factory options you can put on your vehicles, like spoilers, racing stripes, etc.

I would like to choose color options on everything that the manufacturer allows you to. I also would like a full paint shop/livery editor in the game.

TDU style options, but not stupid, frivolous things like electronics, etc. Just things like color (duh), interior, wheels, a few amenities, some racing bits like roll cages and better brakes. But that gets into customization. So... a good amount of both. The more stuff you put into your car when you buy it, the less you can do while customizing.

I want full colour customization of my car, so that i can have any colour combination i want.

i would want interior stuff like steering wheels, seats, roll cages, shifters, gauges, etc. some exterior mods but not so much that you could end up with a Civic with a body kit and a 10 ft. tall wing. also a paint/vinyl shop like Forza or Midnight Club LA.

I'm pretty much happy with how things are with previous versions. Choice of colour based on what was available from the factory but being able to choose aftermarket wheels. I do hope though it is a better/greater differentiated selection of wheels though. Being able to change size would also work well.

I have always hoped for factory options, TDU was a mean taste test to this (and it tasted fantastic).

One thing that bugs me about GT5P is we can choose the exterior colour but the interior colour is presetto a colour of PD's choice. I was a black Mustang with Black interior not black and tan. Some cars I avoid the exterior colour I really wanted so I didn't have to put up with a ugly interior colour.

You made a post in the News thread wanting more in the dealerships than just selecting car colors. It developed into a short idea discussion which I rather liked. In short, the dealerships would offer the usual car selection and colors, but then you could also juice up your purchase with basic performance options to upgrade your car to an extent. Things like wheels, intakes and mufflers, fuel system upgrades, turbos, brakes, etc.

If you wanted to go further, there was Tuner Village where you could get much higher performance upgrades, and even produce a specific tuner version, such as an Amuse S2000 or HKS Skyline. You could even get some livery painting and decal work done. And for full blown racing modification, there was Racecar Valley, or... whatever you'd call it. There, you would have some extensive - and expensive - body work done to bring your car up to spec to qualify for SCCA, BTCC, Rally, DTM, Super GT or whatever class of racing you wanted. Blank race cars we could paint up would be good too, either way, I'd be happy.

I want to choose the colour, trim, wheels, transmission, engine, traction control, abs, esp and even gps just like in real life

I too would like to see these options, similar to TDU. But since the GT series is very much geared for Automotive Manufacturers advertising and selling everything GT orientated, it would surprise me if GT5 did not have these options. The Manufacturers would love to offer the GT5 player the option to drive their car in the different trim and colours they supply. It's just good business...👍

It would also be nice, like in some other driving games, if the modifications done were visible on the actual vehicle model. That's more fun orientated than the above. Won't mean much to the Automotive Manufacturers but it may do to any Aftermarket Tuning companies that are on the GT5 bandwagon.

yes yes and yes
For SuperGT cars have the black prototypes as the car itself and then the team livery as the 'paint' choice... eg. '07 NSX-GT: ARTA, Takata DOME...
much better than having each of the same year car as seperate cars as well as in online races.

I got the same problem. I really hope GT5 let's you choose the interior colour as well.

it would be nice to chose interior variations, rim selection, as well as ground effects kits on cars available for them... but i will not be disappointed without them

i think it would be awesome with free customization like add bodykit's (only licensed stuff, and no essex style **** LOL) choose rims and size which would fit the car IRL not 24" on an old civic.. add racing seat may change steering wheel and add rollcage :P
