I wonder if I could pick the collective mind of the GTP hive. I'm on the hunt for a piece which is shaped similar to 32291; however, instead of the cross stud hole being on the perpendicular plane, it needs to be on the same plane. It can be either a cross stud or round stud, I don't mind, but I need the layout set up so that the single hole is in between the two.

Unfortunately no such part exists in LEGO. I'm not even sure whether CaDA does a piece like that, but there might be a chance they do.

Given that my wife is still halfway through her Christmas 2023 Speed Champions, and that we don't really do Enforced Love Day, I'm amazed that I bought this and that she's finished it...

I spent a long weekend at my Mum's so I built my Lego Ford GT that my mates got me for my 50th last month. Took about 11 hours and 1100 swear words to build, but it was a lot of fun - even though my fingers are now very sore.

There were a few bits that were quite problematic, and some of the smaller connectors can be very difficult - and I also found an error in the instruction manual 😅

Kinda wish I hadn't forgotten about this, but I guess I wouldn't have gotten it for £12.45 anyway so never mind I suppose. I've decided I'll stick to my original plan of ticking off the list of Creator sets I want - I was down to about 19 but obviously a lot of the remaining ones are expensive and then I added a few of the modular buildings (not the big modulars, the ones where you can rearrange the pieces to make different houses and stuff) - before completing lots of incomplete sets and others I've pieced out, etc. and then maybe I'll look at the trains some more.

I have to admit the more recent train sets are really appealing though and the more I look at how much stuff costs and the size of the trains, the money they're asking is less and less shocking. Not good.

I'm still enjoying building this kit too, I was really impressed with the rear wing lifter mechanism, just something I wouldn't have thought of. I've just finished the roof and rear diffuser, so still got about a third left to go.

The Ducati actually doesn't come with the race stand. I bought the pieces off Bricklink and copied the one on the BMW.

I have the BMW and Yamaha of that scale and tempted to get that Ducati as well. Kinda wish I didn't already have the smaller Ducati from 2020 though.

I have the small Ducati. I like that one too, and it looks nice with the Kawasaki. I think the BMW set was better than this new Ducati. But the Ducati is a little cheaper.

Edit: Just got the large Ducati with a $115 VIP discount on Lego I forgot I had. Been a while since I bought Lego 😂

The small Ducati does go nice with the Kawasaki. Wonder if they will upscale the Kawasaki as well...

The Yamaha looks great and I like the display stands on these larger bikes.

A 1:5 Kawasaki would be nice. Or a 1:5 Yamaha R1.

They're really cool! Lego owns Brinklink now (I think) so MOCs are voted for on the site then enter some approval phase and Lego officially boxes and sells them. There are some very neat sets from the program and you can check out upcoming ones as well.

Course, I've not built one yet but I'm curious how the instructions are compared to actual Lego sets.

I've heard they aren't held to the same quality assurance testing of official Lego sets so they can be either difficult to assemble, flimsy when built or otherwise not quite what you'd expect from "real" Lego, but they are some of the most amazing sets I've seen. Really cool!

Obviously I've mentioned collecting Lego plane sets before, so this is the Bricklink set I really want:

Luckily there's nothing unique or rare in it so I can piece it out for about half the price, haven't started collecting the pieces yet but I think I will soon.

Feels too good to be true. Been looking for this one for a while but didn't want to pay £90 for a BNISB one, it's kind of Model Team-y but a 3-in-1 and the other builds look great too. Here's hoping it is actually complete, in good condition and that it arrives, I assume the seller wanted a lot more but it only had three watchers and one bidder.

Ediiit: I legitimately struck gold, I bought a 31096 Twin Rotor Helicopter for under £10 and not only is it genuinely complete and in very good condition as advertised, the manuals are immaculate too. A really, really good find and I'm glad I didn't listen to the voice in my head saying "stop buying sets you already have" - it's still 600+ pieces for under £10! I was going to let my son have this now to go with his similarly huge Jungle Explorer helicopter but the condition is too good, I can't do it.

After a two decade long hiatus from building legos, I bought a small F40 and the MP4/4. Forgot how much fun it is to build a set. Now I’m thinking about getting the Countach and 911 icons sets.
