When typing, hold the Shift key and hit the key you want for a capital letter or hit the Caps Lock button, hit the button, hit the Caps Lock button again?

I do the Caps Lock strategy - I can do it quicker than the Shift strategy.

Shift - I very rarely need to type more than two capitals in a row.

I use shift generally, but when I'm writing SQL queries I flick between caps and no caps, as I type all the function words (SELECT, FROM, WHERE, LIMIT etc) in caps.

I'm wierd, I use shift even then. But it's probably because I'm writing VBScript code at the time, and have to constantly go between SQL and VBS.

i use shift unless i need multiple caps in a row (usually only if there are more than 3 caps in a row)
