"totally jealous"

I am pissed that Polyphony did not attempt to get the licensing rights for the new SRT Viper both Base and GTS, GTS-R.

How do you know that they haven't and they're merely saving it?

Food for thought.

The reason for my saying what I stated it that Microsoft has the rights to the car, because of the Forza Sponsorship on the GTS-R.

Ya, but to be fair, that is only one of one team's sponsors. You could start a team tomorrow with a better specced GTS-R and better drivers and be sponsored by Sony and Gran Turismo ... if you so desired.

Enter the Snake Pit!👍

This is the Viper family, bold and powerful monsters that inject venom on its enemies and tarmac wherever it goes. The brave and true drivers have the antigen to withstand the toxins inside these cars are called The Serpent Handlers.

Save some of that peyote for me, would you?

I like the Viper but I'm more of a 'Vette lover. The C6 I find especially attractive and it just has such a great engine sound.

I painted my 2002 viper GTS with Ferrari 599 metallic red paint(on GT5)in honor of the new viper and it looks great with gunmetal wheels. it actually looks very similar to the 2013 viper maybe even better. Classic viper lines with modern Ferrari metallic paint FTW.

:drool:Love the Viper, so much to the point that I tried to make a Viper GT2 replica, however PD will not let me change the stripe color and painting it white will get rid of the stripes.:guilty::guilty:

Hmm...I am not sure why I haven't doused this thread in liquid fire yet, since I am a diehard Vette fan, but I do have to show some respect where it is due.

The Viper has always been a competitive nemesis to the Corvette ever since it hit the scene back in '92. If anything I praise Chrysler for making the Viper, because in turn, it made GM push that much harder to make Corvette the "world beating" it is today on the track.

I really like the look of the new Viper and hope the rivalry between the two cars hits an all time high with the unveiling of the new C7. I know the Viper GTS vs. Corvette C7 ZR1 matchup will be epic. I think SRT will have to step up its game when the C7 ZR1 comes out though, because in the last issue of Car and Driver the "old" C6 ZR1 handily beat the new Viper around Laguna and it was considered the overall winner of that test.

I am guessing when the C7 ZR1 hits it will have north of 700 hp and that SRT will fire back with more power as well. I think things are going to get exciting in the next few years.:mischievous:

I have othing but respect for the Viper, but yes I will always favor the Corvette. I mean, honestly was there any doubt with the kind of user name I have lol?

Not to thread jack but A shameless self Promotion her from the proprietor of Watering Hole Tunes. As of now we have a total of three Viper ACR tunes and I have a customer wanting a SRT-10 Roadster Drift car. I am a Vette guy but I see the MASSIVE potential in Vipers. If you so desire to Check out our Tunes Viper or otherwise I have a link to the Garage in my sig. Anh HERE is a link for the ACR I am most proud of.

I painted one of my Vipers Caterham Yellow with body kit to make it look like this. My favourite:

Except you can't. SRT only built 2 cars & after the testing done at the end of last season, this will be their first full season in over a decade running cars in endurance racing. All of SRT Motorsports development is going to be invested in these 2 cars, not in construction of privateer teams.

Maybe next season, they will offer the car up for sale to teams, but 2013 is a factory-only deal.

With near 30k in posts @ :gtplanet:, I would have thought you would be able to take a stock 2013 GTS Viper and tune it better than our esteemed friends SRT?!

I want the new viper so bad. And I want a racing modification option, too, to match the beauty race car OP posted some pages before that. I'll be very disappointed if they missed the new Viper in GT6.

If PD is going to put the TZ3 stradale in GT6, they should also be giving the SRT Viper GTS some love.

I would love to have (in real life) a 1996 Viper GTS; love the Blue with White stripes paint scheme.
