Geoffrey...? :D

In the UK that car is known as the Hyundai Coupe. It was the replacement for the awful, awful Coupe S2 and carried a rather nice 2.0 and pretty decent looks for it's class. It was replaced with a facelift model that everyone hated, which was then replaced a little later with a version more people liked.

Well we had that version tiburon except we had the "GT-v6" it was a 2.7L V6 FWD and had either a 5 or 6 speed transmission along with the 4 speed auto option. Came with a decent sound system aswell.

It's supposed to be a reasonable car. Funny really, because everything else Hyundai has done has been s***.

Drunk again, aren't you?

We both know everytime you see an XG30 you stop everything and chase it down the street.

Why do chicken coops have two doors?

Because if they had four doors, they'd be chicken sedans!

Boom-tish!

That's funny as hell.

ahh these are weird cars, I test drove the highline model with the 6speed- It was more liek a 5speed as the rpms seemed to be at 3k no matter what- Engines really smooth at that rpm

Not very fast at all and is cramped inside.

Heh heh, one of C/D's editors certainly thought so! I can just imagine Giles running after one, with his arms flailing and knocking people over...

That's a good joke; I'm going to tell it in all awkward situations from now on.

It'd be a great joke if chicken coops actually did have two doors.

Sorry, not on that occasion. I've driven a couple of Hyundais, and so my opinion is valid.

Only if:
(a) I'm armed with something dangerous, and
(b) You're driving it.

But then it would have to be an XG30 TSi 4x4 (only available in Papua New Guinea between 03.01 and 04.01) for you to be driving it.

It really is a reasonable car, and is one of the best in it's class (2.0 coupes...). The competition it was launched against was the FIAT Coupe Turbo (2.0 V5 20v, Turbo-charged), the Ford Probe 2.0 and 2.5V6 and the succeeding Cougar 2.0 and 2.5/2.5X (the Mazda MX6 is more of a hatchback than a coupe so wasn't really a direct competitor, although being the same car fundamentally as the Probe), the 200SX (the only FR in the bunch), the Alfa GTV, the Citroen Xsara VTR and the like. In that bunch it may not be AS quick as the others (the FIAT was staggering), or AS well-specced as the Probe/Cougar, or AS much fun as the 200SX, but it represented a decent budget choice (it wasn't AS expensive as the others, to buy, run or insure). Now Hyundai have had the chance to refine the car a bit, it's even more of a good buy - it's better specced, marginally quicker, better looking than many peers, more reliable and with a fairly comprehensive - and 5 year (I think) - warranty.

Don't slate a car because of it's manufacturer - slate it because it's rubbish. The Hyundai Coupe isn't a rubbish car.

Hey, I like the facelift! In fact I own one. :)
It's not that fast, but it drives nice enough and shifts easily. And I actually like the name "Coupe" better, even if it's because that's what the Maserati is called.

Do you not understand the "AND" logic? Duh?

Anyway, back on topic please... (and yes, that includes me)

But I figure if you've seen me in the car, there's no sense getting a pointy thing and hoping it will happen again.

This thread's topic was complete with the second post.
