Does Monza look unfinished?

I did all of the races in stock cars and whatever tires it gave me. They were pretty easy. I left one ferrari race that I didn't try since I was getting tired and the endurance race. I did do the ferraris on monza and I did not notice any trees popping up, I have a regular ps4. Maybe I just didn't notice since when I go racing.....I am looking at hitting my spots and paying attention to the road/track and traffic and not the people in the stands. That will not help speed. I did trade places a couple times with that new/old ferrari race car on the last lap when I finally caught him. My street car would not come close to the braking ability. I signed up with the enzo, but quit out before I started when I saw the race car in the line up, so I went and got the laferrari. It took me to the chicane on the last lap to catch him. Then he proceeded to out brake me on every corner while I went around him on every straight. It clicked me back to p1 about 2-3 car lengths before start/finish. Def a fun race will def be doing it again. All the while though I was not looking at the trees. :)

edit: Oh, and did I mention I love that track. But, I dont get why they don't include old monza configurations like what they did with fuji before. That was pretty cool.

Somebody did it up in the track editor and posted it somewhere. It was a long time ago and I don't remember where I got it, but most of the track is there already. Just add 2 turns. It was still there in real life, although I don't think they use it anymore at all.

Come to think of it, Lago Central (the short one) kind of fills this gap anyway.

And I thought I have had vision (legally blind actually). The trees popping up are like at flashing light at the end of the front straight. Hard to miss. Or maybe you’re playing on a 13 inch display, so of course you don’t notice them.

Monza looks fantastic. They did a great job with the trees (many are fully 3D), way better than Brands Hatch and on par with Nurburgring. Really feels like you're racing through a forest filled with unique vegetation and canopies. Great lighting conditions make it all the more impressive.

Actually wish they would replace Brands Hatch trees with these.

46inch 4k lg. In real life the straights are used to check gauges....oil, fuel, temps, braking markers, passing if you get a run, pit boards. etc... I guess that is why so many people suck in real life. They are looking at the trees. :) In a video game most of those things do not really change so I can see why people look around. I bought it to race. If I wanted to look at trees I would go outside.

On my PS4 Pro, no evident pop-ups which could cause distraction.
I tried one custom race, 5 laps, 20 cars, in the morning (fine weather).

During the race I didn’t notice anything, during replays I was actually paying attention because of this thread and I noticed minor popups during the long straight for the trees in the far distance (far after the chicane).
But again it is something very minor.

And by the way, this is one of best representation of Monza to date.
Also, with the laps going on, tires’ blister appears on the fast curves, increasing gradually in quantity. Very nice.

I miss the bridge after the "Curva Grande" right before the second chicane...

I've just watched a video of Monza from november 2017 on YT, no bridge.

It isn't a bridge, just some structure with publicity boards in each side. Not sure if it's a permanent structure or not. In Google maps street view it shows just a frame without boards, but it was photographed just days after Italian GP, maybe it would be removed on the days after.

There are tracks that only support 16 cars???
I thought it was 20 for all?

This is in single player. The combined track that came with the last update is one, a reverse track of one of the fantasy tracks is another and there may be one other track too

I’ve noticed a frame without boards on the GTS Monza track but I can’t remember where it is.

Yes, I think it's not permanent, but in Google Map we can see stairs on each side of the structure, it can be used to cross the track... so technically, it's a bridge :D

That’s far larger than the frame that I noticed so if this is what the discussion is about then I am on about something else entirely.

Monza doesn't look unfinished in the slightest. It has been created just like every other track in this game.
Nope. Polyphony has zero consistency. You have tracks like Bathurst and now Monza which all have amazing textures/grass / lighting. Then you have tracks with good textures but a lack of grass ( Kyoto / Alstice ) Tracks with decent textures but lots of grass ( Interlagos / Lake Maggiore). And then you have Sazuka, which is not only glitched( no skid marks when you go into the grass) but has puke textures on the road, horrible shadow quality and a serious lack of effects when going off-road. Oh, and Streets of willow has no skid marks. Talk about consistency.

To add insult to injury Sazuka has better tarmac textures on the cement around the track than it does IN the track ..

It's a bridge that is as permanent as about half the bridges on any racetrack in the work designed for spectators.

It was still in place for the GP last year (just double checked Hamilton's qualifying lap), as such it should still be in place.

I think it's only there for major events. In many of the track day videos it's not there.

Thanks.

It's still a very odd omission given that it's also missing during races as well.

As far as I'm aware it makes GTS the only title without it.

The bridge was removed earlier in 2017, F1 2017 also has the same and the bridge wasnt there in the Italian GP anymore
