the thing I hate about GT4 is some times I wanna do donuts but I can't there is nothing real about not being able do a donut and that show off stuff with and M5 or Supra . I hope this isn't a repost , and that you get my idea.

An I want to see the 7 series battling the Audi A8 and merc S class , and Lexus 430 , and Cadillac DTS ..ect

I brought this up once before (just not here) and I got flamed for it...I like the idea, and it is a Driving Sim and when you highly tune these cars, they should be able to "spin" the tires in 1 spot, people say you have to have the *right* setting, but wtf, why should I have to tune a car, that can already do that?

my uncle had a 85' 325 BMW coupe and he use to make it stick at the front and just spin from the back doing dounghts and it was standard no tuning or any thing just stock

Preach it brother there arn't enough luxury cars in Gran Tuismo series period and the donut thing is what i've been waiting for a long time

I want to see some better somke effects for the tires, drifting and not pouring smoke seems a bit weird, especially hen you mash the pedal

I don't know if it was LoudMusic, Live4Speed, or whoever, but someone claimed that enhancing burnouts and skid marks on the road are a waste of programming space. I kind of think that especially with American car fans, lots of smoke and smoky burnouts would make driving/racing American cars more interesting. I don't know where PD would want to go with this, but it would be interesting to suggest for those interested.

As far as wanting luxury cars, I was kind of crazy in thinking about what if Bentleys were in Gran Turismo 4. Not just the British beauty, the Speed 8, but I'm talking about Arnage, Arnade Red Label, Continental GT, that sort of thing. First of all, I bet they would all carry 6-figure price tags. I currently have 120,282 Cr. in my balance in GT4, so I probably wouldn't afford a Bentley. I will give you this, though. From what I hear, despite the heaviness of the super-luxurious Bentleys, they have impressive performance from 0-60, not to mention killer horsepower numbers. Rolls-Royce is a company I don't know too much about in terms of cars. I can recall Silver Seraph, but most importantly, the Silver Ghost. You'd be nuts to say that Mercedes-Benz doesn't offfer luxury cars because they do have some real luxurious ones, not to mention another fellow German car company, Bavarian Motor Works (that's "BMW" for you cool people).

You want more luxury? I can see that happening. More of burnouts and such? Would you like cops chasing you in the game too? I don't see any chance of arcadish shenanigans actually coming true for ANY GT game unless they decide to come out with an edgier, hipper, anything-goes GT game. Like that's going to happen...

I wouldn't mind seeing the donut thing, either. Not because it's "neat", but because it's realistic. I saw a video a while back, can't remember where (might have gotten it from here somewhere). It was some sort of road race, and a Ford GT40 came around the corner too hard and spun out, coming to rest facing the wrong way. Rather than simply turn the car around, the driver gunned it, spun the tires, and literally whipped the car around to face the proper way. Then he backed off, stopping the wheelspin so it "locked" itself in the right direction, and he took off. This is something I've never been able to duplicate in GT. Even with the wheel turned full lock, with no TCS, in a car like the Speed 12, on economy tires, the car still goes forward, rather than spinning in a circle. That's a handy move, too.. Lord knows how many times I could have saved precious seconds after a spinout by just snapping the car around rather than having to make a three-point turn on the track just to face the right direction again.

The original NFS had some fairly good whip around physics, one of the reasons I loved it so much.

I would love to see this in GranTurismo5. mainly becuase it would make the game a real driving simulator. more smoke, tire marks, and *fun* phyics, cars have to much power, you spin out lol.

uuh you can "spin" the tyres, its not hard, just do it like in real life just requires the correct balance of brake pressure 👍

Hear hear.

Bentley are my favourite car manufacturer (albeit sharing number 1 place with Renault), and almost everything that rolls out of their factory is a thing of awe and beauty.

I've been in 3 Bentleys all together, each more cosseting than the last.

Azure
Continental GT
Arnage Red Lable

These cars are spacious enough to live in!
But the size comes at a cost- lose the back end in a bend and you'll run over Wales.

Jedi2016 thats why i want dounts , I wanna do what real cars do since it is the real driving sim

I would like to see other Bentleys in. Autocar did an article where they got the new saloon up to 208mph at Nardo. With 4 blokes in it and the air-con on! Can't argue with that for a 2.5 tonne car.

Not to sound like im great at gt or anything but i ahve no problem whipping the car in gt4. I use it daily. As far as burnout go i dont mess around too much so i cant say i know the gt4 physics of a burnout. But yea i can whip a car no prob.

Ive done burnouts on economy tires but the last game in the series that I could do doughnuts in was GT3. The smoke will definately be better in GT5 because the PS2 cant render much of it as well as rendering the cars and track hence the lack of it. Id like to see drifting with the long line of smoke trailing the car like it does in real life.

I dont know i serious just mash the pedal. Have you tried tcs and asm COMPLETELY OFF.

Well, yeah.. kind of hard to get the wheels to spin with 'em on. We are talking about doing it from a dead stop, yes? It's far easier to get a car to spin around if it's moving.

Here's an example that I tried just a few minutes ago. Plymouth 'Cuda, Tsukuba Wet, stopped on the right side of the track. Turn the wheel full left, gun the engine. Tires spin like crazy, car starts to turn around.... and slams into the wall along the left hand side of the track. Rather than turn in place, it drove completely across the track, merely making a normal left-hand turn. This happens regardless of car or track.

Or, to be perfectly blunt.. I don't believe you. Post a replay or a video or something.

old M5 ,old M3( E30 m3 ), M1

why does everybody think that doing dounts is NFS:U thing , its not, its about having a game that is suppose to be a simualtor which simulates what cars do in real life , which one of them is doing dounts and having smoke coming out , some times I just wanna burn rubber and go to a track and slid the car around corners but GT4 would only let me do sliding no burining rubber.

OK i understand that u cant do donuts in GT4, but so wat, ur not going to be in the middle of a race and then start doin donuts, the game is not about being able to do donuts, Its a racing simulator,...RACING SIMULATOR, Racing ok, so thats why i said go play NFU2 cause there is more smoke and u can do ur donuts.
