I don't know if it was LoudMusic, Live4Speed, or whoever, but someone claimed that enhancing burnouts and skid marks on the road are a waste of programming space. I kind of think that especially with American car fans, lots of smoke and smoky burnouts would make driving/racing American cars more interesting. I don't know where PD would want to go with this, but it would be interesting to suggest for those interested.
As far as wanting luxury cars, I was kind of crazy in thinking about what if Bentleys were in Gran Turismo 4. Not just the British beauty, the Speed 8, but I'm talking about Arnage, Arnade Red Label, Continental GT, that sort of thing. First of all, I bet they would all carry 6-figure price tags. I currently have 120,282 Cr. in my balance in GT4, so I probably wouldn't afford a Bentley. I will give you this, though. From what I hear, despite the heaviness of the super-luxurious Bentleys, they have impressive performance from 0-60, not to mention killer horsepower numbers. Rolls-Royce is a company I don't know too much about in terms of cars. I can recall Silver Seraph, but most importantly, the Silver Ghost. You'd be nuts to say that Mercedes-Benz doesn't offfer luxury cars because they do have some real luxurious ones, not to mention another fellow German car company, Bavarian Motor Works (that's "BMW" for you cool people).
You want more luxury? I can see that happening. More of burnouts and such? Would you like cops chasing you in the game too? I don't see any chance of arcadish shenanigans actually coming true for ANY GT game unless they decide to come out with an edgier, hipper, anything-goes GT game.

Like that's going to happen...
