Having seen the concept in person at Petit Le Mans, it does look better in person. But please keep in mind, the Deltawing project never was to have the most beautiful car, it was to develop new technologies. The Deltawing race car did just that and now they decided to make a road car. Based on how the race car has performed, then I imagine this to be at least 30% more fuel efficient, less emissions, etc. The road car might not be visually appealing, but from an engineering aspect (or even an environmentalists) the car should be fantastic.

PS: Some of you are complaining on various things on the body. Remember the car is only a concept, and if they want to put it into production, many things will have to change to make it road legal.

The Deltawing looked like it was designed by at least a person who respected their jobs, and was obviously designed professionally. This thing looks like a 10 year old melted down some used ice-cream tubs and constructed them into a slide, and his brother put wheels on it. Or something. I don't know, it looks crap.

While I respect what you are saying, I must disagree as this is the internet.
The car probably has a ridiculously low drag coefficient and that's why it looks the way it does. When I was at the Panoz tent, Don was there giving an interview and I overheard him saying something about how they spent many hours in wind tunnels and designing the car to be as slippery as possibly, but while still being stable.

Again, for the car to be road legal a lot has to change so by the time the car does (or if it does) hit the road, it won't look a lot like the concept.

Ok, yes, fair enough, but, it still looks terrible. In my opinion, at least some of you design choices should go into making the car look decent.

Looks like an expensive, elite version of this :
