Hey guys I have been running into this issue as of late and figured maybe addressing it full on instead of burying it one of these long threads.

Don't forget to leave one driver open on the option list on the widget! I can't run other's Bobs 'cause I am constantly on 6/6 drivers in use. I have yet to figure a way to break this issue and be able to load a race. There is no way to pull out an individual bob while they are racing in order to free one up.

Thanks!

I agree that it's annoying but a I don't think it needs it's own thread much less a sticky. maybe send a message to your friends that are running your bobs directly?

I thought about that a bit and even if it did fix my problem, I figured I can't be the only one who has this issue. Some peoples friends lists are incredibly longas well. Or they leave their grinder on and go on vacation for a few days and never get the message.

Forums seemed pretty active and checked often by frequent grinders. I also run into this issue pretty often so I saw it needing to be addressed to a larger population.

Look in your log to see whom is running all six of your drivers, then message just that guy. I have 94 in game friends but hardly ever run into this issue, if it became a problem that is what I would do.

I would too if that was the case but thus far it hasn't been and likely won't be. It doesn't need to be one person running all 6 of my bobs, they could be spread across 6 different races with only one person not reserving a driver causing me to not be able to host which affects more than just me but up to 15 of my friends.

It's basically the #1 rule of remote racing. Don't race all of someone's drivers unless you know they aren't going to be hosting races. This has a major ripple effect.

The widget helps.

It's difficult to track down easily who is doing this to message the friends as they do it. It's also not so easy if you aren't at your PS3.

The last 2 times this has happened to me my ps3 log showed 1 of my drivers in 2 places during the same time frame, so in my case this was the fault of PDs servers.

Right Click widget, Select Manage Drivers
Click Helmet Drop Down Menu
Select "…1 Driver Free"

Hey guys,

In the driver data from Polyphony's server, I'm getting this value:

"lock_user_id":"yonis",
"lock_time":"2011-06-17T21:17:20Z"

I'm not sure when the lock_time value is set. If it's set when the race begins, I can determine who took your last free driver so you can tell them to stop it. But I'll need to verify that. It could be the time that the driver is freed, and that would work fine for now since the races are all 20 minutes, but it would break later.

Yonis you may want to look at my post 2 places at the same time. I'd link it but I'm on my iPod right now. I took a pic of the screen showing the ps3 log that supports it. When I'm back on my pc i'll post the pic
