Drafting (Slipstream)

Excuse me for being uninformed but I noticed something about drafting. Certain cars will benefit & accelerate much more than other cars will at the same speeds. Is it the weight of the car? or is it the torque? gearing?

I noticed that the Honda HSC Concept goes like a complete madman when you're drafting. It'll catch up to an Enzo, literally & it only has 349 hp. It's geared pretty tall. If you get it to it's top speed I don't think you even use it's 6th gear unless you're drafting.

Also the Zonda seems to accelerate pretty quickly when drafting compared to other cars of the same weight and power (saleen S7 for example)

I don't mind if it's in, just as long as you can turn it off.

This. Option is a beautiful thing, isn't it? And I hope PD makes the strength adjustable too (like in GT1/2). This way, I can turn it off completely in career mode and notch it up when I'm playing 2P battles to make the races closer and more exciting.

Back on topic: I'd imagine that the more downforce (i.e. drag) the car had, the greater the effect of drafting will be (because drafting essentially removes drag). So if you have very little drag in the first place, drafting won't help your acceleration at higher speeds that much. For this reason, I think the Formula cars will benefit the most from drafting, and road cars the least.
