Today I was doing some racing in A-spec to get me another 1000 ticket, so I thougt about doing the dream car championship again. I decide to do just the last race on the Nurburgring 24H track because I really love this track. I decided to drive with my yellow GT by Citroen Race Car. This car is really great, except for the cockpitview. You can't see a thing trough that:tdown:. I decided to go for it. When the race started up I saw it was raining so I fitted my rain tires and knew that I had a chance against the Jaguar le mans car.
The race started and I took the lead after the second corner. The rainy conditions were very tricky, I was sliding all over the place. But is still was faster than everybody else. I pulled a little gap until the inevetable happened. I spun with 200 km/h at the beginning of the norschleife and lost my lead. Now I was upon a challenge, drive back to the front in the heavy spray. I quickly made up some time to be in Second again and started to catch the leading Ford GT test car. Until I crashed again and fell back to 11th position. Now things were getting very dificult I thought so I decide to just go for it and enjoy it. At the end of the first lap I was back in 6th again and was catching the pack in front quickly. throughout the lap I had another incident and entered the last lap in 8th. Now it was everything of nothing, do or die. The car felt great and at the first sector I was 25 second behind the leading Ford GT. This was my best lap of the race and I overtook for 5th, 4th and 3th. I had a little chance of catching the leader, however again I spun on high speed, quickly restoring it by spinning my car back in the right direction. I went for it and took 2nd place at the beginning of the long straight. In the end I was 5 seconds down on the winning Ford, but I enjoyed myself and had a great race. What I really liked about this race was the difficulty of driving in the wet on the nordschleife, it was a great experience and was happy with my second place. Also I really liked the Citroen Race Car, its easy to control, although you might think otherwise after reading my report
. This is one of the reasons why GT5 is a great racing game, it can give you a great driving experience!
