Drift Competition - week 58 - Closed

@ Speed 12 shot ^ (above)
to me this looks like Wheelspin/Powerslide, but not as a drift, also because of the front wheels are straight...

anyway... i like it though

Thanks man, I don't know why I had the wheels straight in that pic but it was definitely sideways. I think it may have been as I was just entering the drift coming off the main straightaway.

Final Entry

Originally I shot a Cobra. Thank God I have both a Shelby Cobra AND an AC Cobra 427 S/C. :D The AC is, however, considerably harder to drift than the Shelby.

Thanks for the compliment, Luke. :) I like yours too, not a normal shot by any means! 👍 Great choice of car, too. Gotta love TVRs!

Hopefully I will continue to produce "quality" shots. Most of my experience comes from Competitions and taking shots for my story. That must be the reason you have progressed so much in the past months, you are constantly updating the gallery. 👍

It's "drifting" on a straight, and not on a corner, which isn't what I would call good. You can still change your entry for a better one. A suggestion: "drift" a corner (if using the Fiat or any other FF car for that matter) or drift a corner (drivetrain not FF). ;)

To add to what Lucas said, there is no wheel blur, so the car looks like it's just sitting there. Try using a lower shutter speed (the thing in the photo menus that says 1/125 if you haven't changed it).

What is a honest opinion of my picture?

To add more to it, try to shot in a low aperture mode (f=1.8, if I am not mistaken) to make the background less sharp.
Also, a bigger image linked to the preview would be in order to make a better judgement of the shot. But I can say, from the preview, that the car is too centered in the image, and it is just a little dark.

Any C&C on my shot?

Certainly. It would have potential to be a good drift shot, but it has some problems that just draw's me off. Firstly, the subject of the photo is blurred VS. the very sharp background, so, in this case, the subject of the picture doesn't grab any attention. Also, the sun in the sky, makes it blotted up, stiling even more the eye attention from the subject (that is th car).

Crap, that makes me have confidence in my image, then. Take a try anyway.

02zetec, that's one sick-wide angle! Wish it had a little more smoke with the motion, though.👍

Also, you better remove the one before, might get mixed up.

^^Remember, the preview must not be bigger than 400px to the wider side, and it should be linked to a bigger size picture.
