Drift is the art of giong sideways around corners. How come you don't know what drift is?

There's at least 10 topics on drifting in the GT2 forum, not to mention a Drifter's Only forum of its own. Don't add another one to the pile here.

pm or I M me and ill teach u but ive only been doing this for 3 weeks but in gt2
if u want a demo of me b4 i try 2 help u ill make something real fast and show u

i have been playing GT2 for a long while i can give posts of suspension, lsd, and other settings on this thread..

How about the Shelby Series 1? What kinda settings did you get for this one?

How about the Shelby Series 1? What kinda settings did you get for this one?

Front Rear
suspension = 3.0 3.0
ride height = leave it for both
damper bound= 1 1
damper rebound= 1 1
spring rate= 2.0 1.0
stabilisers= 1 1

although this may not be right because the shelby series 1 tends to grip sometimes i have tried everything. but this is what i put at my last setting.

tyres = Sports

weight red.= level 1 or level 2

Interesting that you don't use dampers or stabilizers much. Here's what I got. I used these settings for the Grand Valley 300KM enduro:

Shelby Series 1

Springs: 13.1 / 10.0
B. Dampers: 5/3
R. Dampers: 2/7
Camber: 4.3° / 2.0°
Stabilizers: 3/2
Toe: -.1 / +.1
Height: 100 mm

Brakes: 18/11
Sport tires front & rear

Racing gearbox Auto setup 1, but with a raised 3.519 final drive (otherwise, the car's acceleration is frickin' boring) I messed with all 6 gears, too.

factory LSD (Carroll Shelby seems to know what he's doing here so I didn't even use a limited slip. No Traction controls either.)

Stage 1 engine tuning..no computer...factory exhaust 390@6,700 rpm with 327ft-lbs.@5,200.

With this set-up, the RUF Porsches (there were 2 of them) were kickin' the Shelby's ass around the corners, but the Shelby has better out-of-corner response and higher top-speed as well. Good thing the Venturi didn't show up-I think it would have killed the Series 1 unless I had more power.

Drifting is the "art" of loosing the maximum of time in a curve , wearing your tires for no useful reason at all and posting in the wrong forum when there is a specific one about that childish topic :)

As long as the thread is active ( not locked by a moderator ), I'm entitled to reply. It doesn,t matter if it is 5 years old.That's democracy.
So, kid who don't know what democracy is all about, go back drifting into your sandbox.

for beginners..... choose a setting that makes you 'force' a drift. that way you can maintain control of the car and not die during the drift. for intermediates, use a car that is neutral in handling, i.e. can drift and grip back easily. for advanced, choose sumthing like a high power FC where every blip of throttle = drift.

first of all.... i dont care about democratic morons like you who ruin the foundation of this thread... people who reply endlessly to this thread seek guidance of different styles and techniques of the art of Drifting... STUFF democracy and step into the current and more advanced way of driving instead boring grip driving which enables you to understeer at times and so on. there is no need to critise in this matter. if you do... then leave.

well, hav you ever wondered how you can better win? instead of sliding all over the track and geting a 6th, or even 7th place, howbout ace-ing those turns and getting a 1st? may sound strange, but getting the max MPH out of a turn is interesting to some ppl, skilled drivers. i like getting the precise apex to get max MPH out of a turn, or learning to compromise max MPH for time reasons. Drifting is just playing, so get serious!!

haha yea. this morning i just went driftin with my 700hp supra on grand valley. kinda looks like that extreme yellow JUN supra drift video.....if youve seen it.
