I recently bought GT2, dont get me rong, I have played GT3 for a while now so Im not completly new, I just need to know about something, I heard a rumor that there was some sort of drift track in GT2, like uphill and downhill or an acctually drift track, this is the only reason i bought the game and I can appreciate it if someone helps me out.

- Power to my 16 Second S13

i dunno of any drift tracks...............but..............Pikes Peak hill climb and down hill has awesome 180 corners for drifting!!!

OR

buy a combination of tires and go to a tarmac track with good turns and do some drifting.

Anyone else have input?

drifting depends on road camber, car, and width of turn. not sure how the first effects things, but i'm fairly sure it has an affect.

What about the Rome tracks? Even as a beginner you should have access to the Rome Short Course & Rome Circuit.
Square corners, man. :D
Also, once you can get it, the Rome Night course would have some good drift capabilites too, I imagine.

Autumn Ring. If you can get all the way around the long corner over the bridge you know you're there! I'd try it in a boggo TVR Griffith with real life tyres. Also try the Jaguar XJR if you want something a bit different.

yeah seattle full course with the lancer rally car 99 and control tyres, its pretty hard to control but it can drift the whole way down the straight if you get it right coming onto the straight.

Rome Night is another one.

I think you can drift at most any course; it's a question of whether your car is set up to drift.

i got through the FIRST turn at SS R5 with my Cerumo Supra GT using Simulation tires. MAN is it kool to watch the replay!!!

Try drifting with simulation tires.

BTW, i was power sliding.;)

Seattle short is very cool to drift on.
Motorsports land is very cool in Tom's Angel T01

i miss drifting autumn ring mini form gt1 that was the funnest to attack with an insane amount of horsepower and just hang it out the whole way like a giant skidpad with kinks. that and the ss route 5 special night track ya know that insane twist on the route 5 club stage,,,,,,,

anyways,, the most fun i have had drifting yet in gt2 was with the racing mod s2000 on the rome mini. it's the best drifting trrack i've found yet cause it's short, fast, simple, and you can really pendulum into turn 6 off the back straight coming into the dogleg (it gets scary drifting that fast) with the s2k build it to the max with traction control and run supersofts up front and mediums on the rears and use the traction control to adjust how hard the ass comes unglued when it does, hang it out on the edge of control, and have fun tossing it into some mad high speed drifts inches from both walls. it's the most fun i've had yet,, oh, and don't forget the bias controller, a little bit more rear braking helps swing that ass into turn 3.

drifting kicks ass!!!
