lol the NTSC drifters
Wow I didnt think this topic would get a bit errm nasty?
Hows about driving some STD lol or Eiger FWD no drifters there
You are the only one that thought he came here with an attitude. You seem to be the only person in this thread jumping up and down screaming like a child.
Ummmm. Sphinx (like myself) is a Supermoderator. This means if you keep pushing and making nonsensical posts, he can very well remove you from this site completely. No more GTP for you at all. If this is in your interest, by all means keep it up.
The problem is, he didn't do anything wrong. You are the only one in the wrong here. Everyone else agrees it is the right thing to do to get out of the way at all costs. 359 makes a thread about a subject I'm sure has bothered many users (myself included, and I am a drifter/racer), and you breathe down his neck like he's the problem. If you subscribe to the idea that it is an "option" to move out of the way or not, you are going to make a lot of enemies around here. This is not a "drifting game", it is a "racing game" that has an offline mode for drifting as a bit of an afterthought. As I (and many others) have said, you may get your online "drifting mode" in the full game. Until then, if you want to drift online, use a little common sense and get out of peoples way that are utilizing the game for the intended purpose. Some people are online racing in tournaments, and someone blocking there way with a sideways Ferrari can be not only a major annoyance, but can lose them the race.
I'm still struggling to see how you're missing this...
This is just silly. Where to start?...
First of all, why would he want to drift in the first place? Just because it's something you enjoy, everyone else is either missing out or just inept? That's a very narrow view of the world. Not only that, but who says he cannot? Quite a big assumption, and I'm sure you know what they say about those.
Secondly, I've been drifting and racing in GT5 since the day it came out, and I have seen hundreds of drifters block/knock or otherwise screw with people during races. Some intentional, most unintentional, but nevertheless an easily avoidable problem. I have also seen drifters that are courteous and get out of the way, but I'm sorry to say I've probably seen more that have become problematic.
If this is how the commmunity acts when someone tries to help I guess so. Iam amazed people are willing to say banned and Ill report you to the GTP registery as if this is the only thing that matters in life. This is just sad and simply retarded with all these threats. I have done nothing wrong, but to tell him what he did wrong. I told him what he should do to make his post more accepted by the drifters and he replys back with garbage along with others. I mean did you want me to say why yes masta whatever you want cause since Iam a drifter and you race I must do everything you demand. NO I DO NOT If he would have asked, then it would have been just fine. Also the drifters Ive spoken to dont even wanna bother with this thread since its just . Now can we just drop this.
This was at least 4 or 5 people over the past 4 days. One time I did have to punt one of them simply because it's all but unavoidable. Sliding back and forth on the straight makes it impossible to get alongside him, he drifts into the first hairpin right on the apex, I'm obviously able to corner faster, there's nowhere for me to go. Bump.
My race was pretty well screwed at that point. Remember, there is no catch-up in the Expert level races with Pro Physics.
That's like me saying I didn't buy Halo 3 to kill everyone online, so everyone needs to stop shooting me.i didnt buy gt5p to grip race so gt being mainly a racing game is wrong videos clearly prove that and for what its worth gt5p isnt burger king you cant have it your way until the full gt version release
Well basically I could careless as to being reported on the GTP registry. If that makes you feel better than report me as I have done nothing wrong.

That's like me saying I didn't buy Halo 3 to kill everyone online, so everyone needs to stop shooting me.
Though you may not play the game the way it is intended, the online portion of the game is about grip racing, and thus, the majority of people will be doing so. I don't believe anyone should demand something of everyone else, but folks should be respectful of others if they are not going to play the game as it was made to be.
but if you believe so strongly you don't have to get out of the way for grippers and you're drifting in their way, that would be report-able
I wasn't talking about reporting you for your posting attitude here now, but if you believe so strongly you don't have to get out of the way for grippers and you're drifting in their way, that would be report-able.......I guess.
that would be reportable ?
what the **** man this is the internet , anyone can do what they want and you can't do anything about it especially coming here and cryin like a baby (OP).
If i feel like bumping people or passing them drifting ill do it, because I can. Also because people that make threads like that make me laugh
.....er.....proof? If you want to go into that, look at how many threads there are with people saying that we should pull over should we want to drift. Your comment is the first that I've ever heard saying anything different. So you and your supposive numbers mean nothing right now untill you can back up those claims...in a later post, I'll do the same.

AMEN BROTHER!! I'm sorry but I have to agree with franky on this one.
Dude, you came in here looking like you were demanding for all drifters to get off Online Events. That just isn't going to happen since most of us just play the game for the fun of it, and don't take it all personally unless it's repetitive punting.
And more, you mention that the game "Users are trying to have a race, the way the game is intended". The way the game is intended?? I payed $40 just like you didn't I?? Now you're telling us what to do with the game?? You also mention that a "majority (of drifters) that I've seen lately seem to be ignorant of the racers around them". From what I know, there aren't a lot of drifters on online events, and most of them are in our drifting chat room. So you mentioning a "majority" you mean the 10-15 drifters in the room, and from that, I take it personally since I know that WE are courteous and let you guys go off.
It's true that we sometimes don't get off the road whilst in a drift and you guys are ghosting, and I APOLOGIZE FOR THAT.
Well and from now on, I'm going to leave this ISSUE alone, since it's totally ridiculous in my opinion.

lol the OP is an idiot, all i know is when i drift online at the start of the race i move out of everyones way. after that my car is ghost the whole race. if my ghost spooked anyone i gues im sorry:idea:
Well said. It's as simple as that.
Slapphappy, how you don't get this is unbelievable to me.
Yes it is.
Also if it makes you feel like a SUPERmod then just do it already. I COULD CARELESS
Well, I am one of them. I drift sometimes in an online race (trying to fix it up with a mate, but we just can't get to start in same race).
So I allways started in 1st place and I ALLWAYS moved to the grass, waited for the angry mob behind to make their dash to the first corner and started my "fun" time. As I was caught up, I (almost) allways got out of the way - in any sort or form I could at that moment, which usually ended in a spinoff into gravel. It has happened (maybe two or three times) that the guy behind me got up to me much faster than I thought possible, and then it was quite hard to get my car out of the way in time. I watch the HUD map a lot, but sometimes I must take a peek onto the track and see where I'm going, so please don't be mad. I am trying my best to get out of the way. But sometimes I get another racer or two, who just stops and follows me and watches my drifting and sends me a "nice driving mate" message afterwards.
The point is, try to understand people who are drifting online, before you want to hurt them. They're not all that bad 👍. But I would agree - simply staying in the way and not taking others in consideraton when you're to be lapped is not very polite at all.
I have no problem if people want to drift, they're big tracks, there's plenty of room. Just as long as both sides respect one another and what they are trying to achieve.
That's like me saying I didn't buy Halo 3 to kill everyone online, so everyone needs to stop shooting me.

I said it was multiple people over multiple days. I also have said, repeatedly, that this message isn't intended for all drifters, just those that intentionally stay on racing lines in front of those racing.
Intentionally? What lines should drifters follow then? I understand the point of a racer behind he should move but you make it sound like drifters should bow down to every racer and not drift. You make it sound like this in every post.
You really just need to sit back and collect your thoughts. Your asking us to do something that we already do, so why are you continuing to argue.
but you make it sound like drifters should bow down to every racer and not drift. You make it sound like this in every post.
Please supply us an example of this sound that you hear in every post of The359's.
Ok, so our respect (Drift side) is to be careful, & pull over so the racers can have there race or move over. What's the grippers respect? Just curious.I have no problem if people want to drift, they're big tracks, there's plenty of room. Just as long as both sides respect one another and what they are trying to achieve.
