were u able to see the video? its the 2nd section in that sectional event for the gt acadamy
im presuming its the d1 section anyway. its what i typed into google and what youtube came out with :P. seems like its on the money tho

seems that drifting is improved.. I hope GT6 will have support for real drift events.. not those unfinished empty clapping rooms...

Drifting with the new physics is easier i guess... I'm enjoying the new Physics... love the body roll, etc. I uploaded the video, capture it with my cam, so it's not very good, but enjoy it. Thx :)

I'm pretty sure that's the right section. I'm drifting on it right now. The more I drift the 370Z and the better I get at it, the more it feels like my AE86 drift missile on Gran Turismo 5. This is mainly because of the body roll, how you can keep flooring it and how you need to really flick the car to get it to slide

Actually, when I watch the replay, you can really see how much more realistic the car handles now from how it bounces around and looks when drifting. Nice work by the way 👍

i think some guys feel the same, but i feel less traction on some zones, imbalances
in the track, like to real.
with the final release we got tuned suspensions, i go to put it very strongly lol

in this demo we got stock Extreme SOFT suspensions lol

Drift cars and race cars are tuned and set up completely differently

this 370z is a race car, it's suppose to give you faster lap times, not drift points.

They said they worked on the physics and that probably included aerodynamics and downforce as well. that real spoiler is probably whats causing you to not drift as good.

imo

Ok idk how you guys can even talk about the drifting yet. I tried and it is awful since it's only race cars. Worst part is there is some weird traction control always on. I turned everything off but when I hit the hand brake everything locks and the power doesn't move.

+1 the drifting is terrible, it's more power sliding than drifting, you can't hold a drift at all on the demo lol.

Right at the end I was able to hold a long drift, if I had backed off the power a bit I would have kept it :)

Also I'm not a drifter per se, and I was never able to do it in GT5, it didn't feel right, but here just using intuition I am able to pull it off better. It's more in tune with real life IMO

There's certainly something wrong with drifting. I can't pinpoint what exactly though.

The tyres, lack of power, super soft suspension etc lol.
@col I didn't see anything even close to a long drift, no offence mate but not one video in this thread has impressed me in the slightest, it's just not even close to drifting lol.

I really like drifting in GT6. It's way more entertaining and than GT5 imo. Maybe it's because I'm tired of the GT5 physics. Here are some videos of me drifting.

Actually that's the best i have seen so far nice work.

It's race cars with race tires so should be hard but the gtr has lots of power and should be able to drift the whole course. For some reason it doesn't rev once you hit a drift. It's like they tried to make it impossible to hold real drifts.

There's only so much you can do with these cars and the grippy tires, nice drifting anyway 👍

That weird traction control is probably the grip of the tyres if you have turned all aids off. What you say about the E-brake is true, is slows the car for a split second and then fully engages, which I don't like. Also, even though we are drifting a race spec car, it is (sort of) drift-able none the less. It took me a while to start liking the car and the drifting.

When i hit the e brake it locks for a second than I turn hard to start the drift. However normally I slam the gas to get some power down so it turns sideways. Now I slam down and the revs don't move. If you have traction control on you will see a red line next to the gas showing you how much it's slowing you down. Even tho I turned traction control off I still get that Redline only after I hit e brake and gas it hard. I'm not sure if they put this on for a reason or if it's a glitch, but drifting will be dead if it's a real thing.

If one guy can do it and others can't, I think I know where the problem is...
