Have any of you guys ever had a drink(alcohol), while or before playing GT4, and obviously got really pissed.

Well I party alot, and most of the time I get home in the early morning really pissed out of my mind, and being the insomniac that I am, 90% of the time I put GT4 on.

And guess what I really suck at GT4 when Im drunk.

Have any of you guys, had this experience, if you did, post your story

I work best on GT4 after a beer - though considerably worse after two.

I've done it once with GT4, I struggled a bit, fell off my chair too. We played Tourist Trophy drunk at my birthday party. One of my friends stacked every 5 seconds pretty much.

At least I know Im not the only one, recently I tried to start the nurburg 24hr, to win another polyphony, I entered the race with the polyphony and did about 12 laps of drunk driving, I honestly thought I would get better, but it only got worse, I saved the replay, will post it tomorrow.

One of my weak points in GT4 is corner speed. I tend to slow too much for a corner and this is greatly magnified after a few beers. After a few more I'm all over the road.

That's probably how it will be with most adults, though I don't recall how well I did after a drink compared to how well I do normally, it's been while since I've booted GT4 up.

I've done this many a time after a trip to the pub. :-D

I normally stop competing after a lap or so and start trying to hit my rivals instead.

Got drunk, played Gt4 on the good ol' wheel, fell off the chair. Everyone wins.

Good times... :)

I suppose after one of two pints you would be a little bit faster as you wont neccecerally be so tense or "afraid" of crashing becuase you would muck up your lap. But racing whilst your completely drunk! ha lol! That would be laugh. Would be very hard to concentrate. When I get drunk I move around alot and find it hard to sit down and stay perfectly still without moving my arms ect. so I would be useless. Next time I get drunk Iam going to try this :)

I've played all kinds of games drunk. It's quite amusing in some action games but not good in driving games. As Famine said one beer isn't bad, and as it relaxes abit, i'm not so tense when driving. Alcohol and gaming ftw!

My most memorable drunk driving escapade was me in a 400+ bhp clio v6 vs my mate in his 400+ bhp Amuse S2000 at Autumn ring mini.

We played all nite until 6 am were during a highly contested race I ran straight on at the second corner straight into the tyrewall after falling asleep at the wheel.

The replay was hilarious as it showed us neck and neck as we approached the turn, he brakes and turns of but I continue to accelerate straight on into a head on collision.

once i was playing need for speed with my brother, and he didnt had any sleep at all the night before. so after a while he just fell asleep.

but he was still accelerating, so after a long straight there was this corner and he just crashed straight into it. watched that part of the replay like 20 times trying to figure out the exact spot where he fell asleep

yes... but im 15(so shh:tup: :) ) and i was sitting up with my buddies and we were decent but nowhere near normal... i always seemed to foregt to do the breaksand downshift

i did once, im also 15 but this was at Easter, we had wine with dinner.

I Played GT4 and actually tryed to win the races(i usually just drift).
I had some delayed reaction when i played, i would be half way through the corner and in the air from the impact before i finally hit the brake and began to turn.

I wish i recorded myself, would of made millions on Americas Funniest Home Videos. lol

i don't think i've done it in GT4 but i have done it in NFS underground2. yeah my driving was not great. i hit almost every wall! but i was laughing the whole time, too funny!

Wait 'till I tell your mom! :D

Ciao!

Hey, playing GT4 drunk is fun and yes funny when you watch the replay the next day if you remenbered to save the replay.

I went to the local bar with my partner and few friends . Got sloshed of course. Came home, threw GT4 into the system, and started to drive the Nurburgring with my F1...Didn't get the whole lap finished because on the straight just before the start / finish line, there is an invisible wall where it looks to be pits or something with a big gap in the wall here. But driving at over 300 Km/ph I came to a dead stop. I mean dead stop. My tires didn't spin nor did the car loose control. Just stopped dead in it's tracks...My friends and partner were watching just laughing their butts off, mind you so was I. But I did very poorly on the lap on the rest of the track. Once I got off the wall the AI decided to play bumper cars the whole way down the straight. I'm trying to gain control while the AI is pushing me all over the track and grass and mind you they must have been drunk too because they were bumping into eachother. Oh my god I could not stop laughing neither my friends      That was the best part of the race, playing bumper cars down the straight. Forget who crossed the line first

Oh that was fun though...lost the replay though, erased my memory card :dunce:

Haven't driven drunk in GT4 yet, though did use some "herbal refreshments" this past weekend. Such products tend to make me really get into the game :) a bit more than I usually do. I start thinking like the AI drivers have names like "Jacques Strapp" and "Dale Yverin" :D I start to imagine my car's coolant system is heating too quickly and coast down hills and stuff. If I'm doing an enduro and make a pitstop...that's a perfect opportunity to "reload". Usually when I get back on the track after reloading, my first couple laps are sloppy! (cold tires and an extra jolt of right-brain activity)

I only started GT4 a couple weeks ago, but I have driven drunk in GT2 & 3 plenty of times. Sometimes I'll really start to mess up--especially on tracks that I don't know so well :embarrassed:

The most difficult games to play after alcohol, in my opinion, are the Burnout series games, especially Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge. They're super fast and rely on reactions and quick thinking. Two qualities you don't possess after a few too many beers. ;-)

I find GT4 (and most other games) annoying after a few drinks, and usually avoid playing drunk... it's like poker - after a few beers, you think it's a great idea, but in actual fact it's not.... However, a couple of tinnies while playing can be very enjoyable, and you can even manage a good swig on the back straight of the Nurburgring - which is now known as 'The Kronenbourg Straight' for that very reason :sly: Got to be careful to finish before the end of the straight, though, otherwise it could all end in Tiergartens...

I know what you mean. Like I said earlier, I usually get frustrated quickly and start to ram the other drivers. It's hard to maintain concentration or attention for long when drunk.

I remember about a year ago when me and some friends played a game of poker (5 card stud) with a difference. After every hand (which can be played very quickly in 5 card), the winner nominates someone to do a shot of Jack Daniels. As you can imagine, it didn't take long to ditch the poker - it soon degenerated into an unplanned house party!💡

hahaha. i'm laughing reading some of these stories! every now and again i'll come home from the club a bit toasted and put in gt4. it's like somebody said earlier that a couple a beers and you do better but a couple more and, well you know ... say, next time i'm gonna race my ghost replay and watch me whip my ass!!! :)

I know this thread's dead but,
Yeah, I've played drunk. I'm much better. I hold a perfect line and my times come down past personal bests. I tried having an MSN chat once while drunk as well, just after the last new years. LOL!! I've never been allowed to forget it...

LOL!! I've never tried it after a 'herbal refreshment', sounds like quite the 'experience'!!

I think some of the most funny things i do not even drinking alcahol, just things with lots of sugar in it is when i'm playing any type of racing/flying game. I move with the direction of the car or plane. So if i drive left, i actually physically in real life lean left. Or for example in a plane, if i'm pulling up i arch my back and lift the controller up in the air as though its gonna make a difference. Quite hilarious for mates i know to watch... they just watch and giggle.

...You thought you'd post in it anyway? Seems kind of pointless to me, but whatever, we'll let it serve to bring back a potentially hilarious thread.

ive never played gt4 drunk or really drank considering im 14 ( beer doesn't really taste too good anyway :yuck: ) but ive played nfsu2 high. not that being high impares anything its just i lost so bad because i couldn't stop laughing. i was in tears i was laughing so hard and nothing was funny. somebody would just say something random like hamburger and i would crack up. it must have screwed with my brain because from then on i still laugh at random stuff.
