I actually beat all the mission halls one night totally plastered. It was the night after my gf of two years and I broke up. My boys and I went out to the sportsbar and drank way too much. Came home and started playing GT4, I don't really remember it but the next day when I started playing all the mission halls were complete. lol

...you can even manage a good swig on the back straight of the Nurburgring - which is now known as 'The Kronenbourg Straight' for that very reason :sly: Got to be careful to finish before the end of the straight, though, otherwise it could all end in Tiergartens...

I drove the GT3 Panoz Esperante better than normal after a few beers. Funny how it makes me look like a drunk whenever I try that overpriced contraption in GT4.
 
I've only played GT4 once under the influence. I'd had about 4 or 5 shots of vodka, and I took the SLR to the Nurburgring. Surprisingly, I did okay, but I was probably about 10 seconds off my normal pace.

Some good times junior year: My friend and I split a bottle of Grey Goose, and invited two of our other friends over to play Mariokart 64 (they were sober, but also girls, so Mariokart was not in their genes). Completely wasted, I won all 5 races by a good margin. It was probably just muscle memory ;).
 
I've most definitely driven after a couple, trouble is I've never won after about 4 beers...yet I drink a 5th and I'm doing Alonso's and thrashing the field again...but then my stomach disagrees with the intake and the only circular thing I've got my hands either side of is the toilet seat
 
You won't believe what kind of circular things I get in my hands when I'm drunk....

I did this stunt last Christmas. Not on a dare, but I had a normal Christmas dinner up until that point. I kept smackin walls and I thought spun my Lancer when actually going straight.
 
I haven't played GT4 drunk, but i had a younger "lady friend" from down the road over one night for some drinks, we were smashed playing TOCA/V8/DTM 3 Online... it didn't really affect me too much at the time, but the next day with the massive hangover i didn't dare turn on the PS2!!!

And well, halfway thru one of the races my car mysteriously rolled off the road and DNF'd... i heard a romour that the lights went out and the driver was busy with some action happening on the sofa, the kind you don't get to see on Big Brother... some little birdy told me that... if i can call the girl down the road a 'little birdy'?! 👍
 
Probably not, because most of us aren't stupid enough to screw around with methamphetamines.

Alcohol = Fun with friends. Crystal = Not so much.
 
I need my drunk driving fix, just like GTA and stealing cars. I'm actually good at it, but it's when I'm tired that I can't race for my life. I don't tell myself I'm drunk driving ina video game, I tell myself this (I was supposed to beat this championship today and I'm still conscious).

That is the best experience I had, playing with another friend (lan Party) in the same "state"... lot of fun, always together on the tracks, and feeling a lot better than when we are not under the influence of marijuana.

Two beers and i am very bad. I drink 3 beers a week. :)
 
After a couple of beers, some wine, then 4 Jameson on the rocks, I just hit the gold mark in 6 more license tests 👍 I love the feeling when you're in "the zone." Now on to the races..

I don't drink too often but I qualified for the WRS after feasting some fungi and vitamin E on the first couple laps. After that, turns just starting popping out of no where and actually helped a record second sector, but the laps were getting to sloppy. I think I will give another shot for this weeks race tomorrow. I know I play best when I'm high though, but there really isn't anything funny about it...
 
I've played it completely hammered before, it turned out to be one of the most fun times I've ever had in GT4. Especially if you disconnect the power from the wheel and go drifting.
 
OK, I fired up GT4 and picked the car I drive in real life, grabbed some booze, and did a test.

1st lap only at Motorland.

Driving Force Pro.

Both nights involved 4 shots in 1/2 hour (hey, I had nothing else going on).

Sober | Drinkin' | Drinkin' again (a week later)

My fastest lap time (BARELY) was after having a few but the fastest average over a 4 lap session was while sober. Which is as it should be. It certainly took more concentration to get the car around the track after hitting the booze...
 
I remember one night my friend Steve and me shot through a 1-liter bottle of Castillos Silver, loser of each lap had to take a shot. Best time I ever had playing GT, till I face planted on his living room floor
 
heh some funny ones here.. ;) (and excuse me for being a late poster but i only joined the other day)

i used to be a bit of a super-stoner, and gran turismo was my main game for a long time. me and a good pal used to do the endurance races, and swap over every pit, but we used to smoke a couple of bongs when we paused it. really got into the game then i can tell ya, i just unfocused and stared at the screen and my laptimes got better and better.

drinkin on the other hand (and most "stuff") ive tried is just a downhill slope for me.. after a couple of shots u relax and u get good times, but then ur cocky and start trying to push it, then of course u get more drunk so u get worse and worse :P

i tried gt4 on shrooms the other day.. perhaps the nurb' with a chaparel 2j wasnt a good idea, i just got really confused and went to the woods instead.. thats life eh
 
LOL, I used to stay up late every night playing gt4 until I couldnt anymore. Drinking beer continuously makes it ok in the beginning but eventually you cant do even 1 lap right so Bob has to take over.
At least he got plenty of practice.
One of the reasons I stopped drinking beer is cause it was getting in the way of my GT.

Smoke a J on the other hand, and your guarenteed a more chilled ride and usually with better lap times.
 
gt4 just doesn't seem as exciting to me when i've been drinking, i know i'm not as good then so i dont bother with it, same with tt.
if i play anything drunk it is usually san andreas. ditching a wounded jet onto the aircraft carrier and taking off in a new one without getting shot after 10 or so beers is always cool and usually impresses my mates.

by the way, i dont mean i'm better at gta when i've been drinking, its just more drunk friendly 👍
 
Last year ..it was a sunday morning ..i woke up with a big head ace ..
in the previous evening/night i had a party :cheers: (i didn't drive !!) , And i tried
to do ... the DTM ..... i drove for the 80% of the Nurburgring .... OFF ROAD :lol:

I don't use to drink or eat when i watching TV or gaming with PS2/GT4 👍
