I have a feeling there will also be more dirt on the tracks and layering of dirt/mud/ice on the cars on wet roads along with snow/ice/slush on the road or puddles if it has rained but sunshine in the sky.

Something like that would be fun because of the GTRs.

I can see where they can improve. The default brightness should what it is now maxed. They could add motion blur to the wheels. But if it looks like Forza 6's I hope not. Maybe cars get dirty like over mud in the wet.

Seems "more" than just a big update

What a bizarre game sometimes  it took me about 3 days to beat the Elite 66 at Chungara Lake, was on the verge of admitting defeat but finally managed to sneak a time in, so I thought I'd give 67 a go in the Audi at Munnar and I've just beaten it quite easily by nearly 2 seconds on just my 2nd go...The mind boggles !!!!

Motorstorm? #believe

Three (it was three, right?) games into that franchise, I wouldn't mind if Evolution was done with it to be honest. They were fun games sure, but Evolution has spent the last year turning Driveclub around, and all that hard work paid off with respectable sales. They potentially have a new franchise on their hands, and I'm excited to see them iterate upon it and take it into new directions. Besides, with Polyphony taking their sweet time on GT7, the PS4 needs a conventional road-racing IP to compete with Forza Horizon on a bi-yearly schedule. And although I initially would've much rather had Horizon 2 than Driveclub in its launch state, I think DC has and will continue to age much better, and be remembered as a classic arcade racer.

GT7 is next year so no way we get a DC2 realisticly before 2018.

Agreed but on GT off-years Driveclub would be very nice to have. Figure PD will spend 3-4 years on the follow-up to GT7, and in that space of time we could definitely see DC2.

Agreed, problem is what can be in DC2 that's cant be in DC. Unless they go full Hrizon and make it open world, although I'd rather an open world Motorstorm.

There may not be a DC2. I think that DClub is to be a service type title according to articles I have read, which is to be constantly updated and added to for years to come, which is fine by me. I prefer this to a game which we buy and then shelve when the next iteration comes along.

Yeah that's absolutely fine too, I just want to see the game continue to flourish and either a) be supported for years to come or b) see a sequel in two or three years. Or both. It's not like they have any room to improve things from a technical level right now anyway. The engine is superb and probably won't be outdated for a long while into the system's lifespan.

@CHEN255 is correct in saying that DRIVECLUB is meant to be a service. Assuming that is still the plan going forward then Evolution will presumably continue to add content as has been but could bring out a MotorStorm expansion and add content for that too.

How about a €20 MotorStorm pack and then as content to expand on that too?

I'd prefer a sequel. A big slab of new cars and tracks and having that feeling of progressing again (with all the Lambos and Jaguars from the beginning). If it continues to be a service they'll need to give something for us to progress through rather than just giving us new cars and tracks. That's how I feel anyway.

Just curious, what makes you think that GT7 will be next year?

Because GT7 would have been in development since GT5, plus kaz seemed confident about a 2016 release. Ofcourse things could go wrong but I bet well get the first trailer at PSX with a holiday 2016 release.

Because Kaz said we wouldn't have to wait until 2017 or something?

Forgive me for not being confident about words from Kaz!

Fingers crossed.

GT7 would have to be truly epic to topple the competition for Kaz's words to be true, so it's best to just carry on with DC and the rest of the competition whilst calling BS on Kaz's "claims".

My fingers aren't crossed since I've given PS4 sim racers the middle finger.

I agree, the whole wheels compatibility issue really put me off and pushed me to PC gaming.
Luckily Pcars and AC are really great sims, even though they lack the high budget of GT and Forza.
DC was a real surprise despite its bad start, It managed to capture the essence of fast arcade racing while maintaining a little amount of simcade physics. The game actually encourages you to drive clean. Also, it's still the benchmark for sounds and visuals as far as I'm concerned.
Unless PD finds a way to let us use our G25/G27, I'm not going to buy GT7.
That being said, I'm trying to keep a balance between PC and PS4. I play some games on console and some games on PC.

It would be freaking awsome if Porsche makes his way to Driveclub. New GT4, GT3 RS 918..... Ow what a freaking cool update would that be!!!

That would be the most unexpected thing I think. What an amazing coup that would be. Don't go getting your hopes up though.
