Hi guys, bit of modding my driving force GT steering wheel tonight.

bought some bungie cord for the brake and accelerator, and tightened the clamp for extra measure to only hear a crack. it no longer clamps to the table. its the [ shaped clamp that id need to fix. any ideas GT community?

your help would be greatly appreciated and Id be extremely greatful and could possibly repay the favour by rewarding with a gifted GT 5 car or something??

any help would be great.

Wrong forum, but if I were you I'd buy a cheap/broken DFP and use the clamp out of that. Not much chance of repairing it. Alternatively you could get a G-clamp and cut a hole in your DFGT big enough for that... Or see if Logitech will repair it.

You could try Velcro which may be enough to hold the wheel still with the unbroken clamp. If you ever do get another clamp then put Easy Liner under your wheel to keep it from sliding. That way you don't have to tighten the clamps as much. You can find Easy Liner at Wal-mart and Amazon.

Another trick tip is to use automotive grade double sided tape to the bottom. Typically made by 3M. If you go crazy enough with it, you may not notice the cracked clamp at all.

I might have one on an old DFGT that I'll most likely never use again as I have 2 G25s now. If you live in USA and have a Paypal account to send me $$ for shipping, I can probably send it to you. EDIT- I have and old DFPro, not GT, but the clamps are the same I think.

BWX thats a really kind offer, I live in the U.K, If you'd be happy to send them and they are the same Id happily pay for replacements :) obviously only if you're happy to ship to U.K.

I'm thinking it would be way too much $$ to ship there for what they are- you could get them cheaper from someone over there.

Hey I can't believe I was able to find this thread again.. took a few minutes of searching through my e-mail..

Anyway I found a solution for you or anyone else with this problem!

I was just watching a vid on Youtube from simracingtonight named ''Derek Speare Button Box Review''. At about 7 minutes in he mentions that the guy sells those clamps and ships them worldwide. Check it out.
