OK here it goes... I just got a DFGT a week ago and i have really been enjoying it. I feel like it has breathed new life into GT5p, almost like playing a different game (in a good way)

So yesterday my brother comes over to watch the Jet game, and is surprised i got the DFGT. He then tell's me he had just got me a G27 for my birthday (in 2 weeks) My question is is it worth upgrading to the G27? I originally wanted a G25 but could not afford it. I really like the fact it has a clutch & H-pattern shifter, and that i could also mod it, but is it worth switching at this point?

My options are i could keep the G27 and return the DFGT to best buy, or Keep the DFGT and have him return the G27... I have never used the G27 or the G25 so i having a hard time deciding if its worth it or not...

I would recommend returning both and buying a G25, its the best middle way, cause the G27 is way too expensive, and you would have some money left over for something else.

But because the G27 is a gift, maybe you should return your DFGT and use the G27, its really a very good wheel but just not worth its price :)

I'd recommend returning the DFGT and accepting the G27. You already appreciate the benefits of a wheel so you know you'll enjoy the G27. It offers better paddles, MUCH better pedals, better FFB, more sturdy feel, leather wheel coating, likely to last longer. About the only thing you lose is all PS3 buttons on the wheel itself, because they are on the shifter of the G27 (the PS button is the only really annoying omission - you have to keep a controller handy for pressing it).

Particularly the pedals on the G27 are a serious improvement over the DFGT.

As for G25 vs. G27: In some countries you can still find the G25 for sale new - the last stock being sold off quite cheap. If that option isn't available anywhere near you then don't worry about it. The G27 is an improvement over the G25 in every way except that you lose the dual mode shifter (sequential and H-shift) in favour of just H-shift mode. However, personally I never use the G25 shifter as H-shift because it's really quite flimsy and easy to mis-shift, and I understand that the G27 H-shifter is much better.

Don't look a Gift Horse in the mouth...LOL:)
Happy birthday:dunce:<--and no your not a dunce, I used the dunce smiley face because it looks like it has a birthday hat on :)

Thanks  Still got 2 weeks left! I've decided i am going to try out the G27 for a week and decide which i like better...

EDIT: At some point yesterday i was really into maybe going for the Fanatec Wheel ($!99 version). Than i started reading about the lack of customer service and long shipping times, and i realized i have no patience for such things.
