Quick question do you guys hit full brakes or just half way ?. Secondly do you down shift first and then hit the brakes or brakes and then down shift when coming to a corner ?. Just curious. I have seen several people replay with different driving style.

Full brakes with ABS (on) most the time unless trailing-in and as for gears, you downshift as you need it, brake first and as a downshift is required then do it, usually fairly early so the engine will assist just a little in stopping power (not really required brakes do a good job at that) but dont over rev the engine like many people do in replays. I just hope GT5 will have engine damage so these people will drive properly. Using the clutch and H pattern with G25 you can skip downshift if you wish.

Thanks for the tip Jay. Actually i used to downshift first and then brake. Will try braking first and then downshift. What do you set your abs to 1 ?

Engine damage?? Every car has a rev limiter (NASCAR has no limiters.) That might change with damage available. Now cluth or transmission damage is a lot more likely.

ABS is usually at 1, or 2 if you turn with the brakes applied a lot.

I did some TT with the Art Morrison Corvette tonight, that car will get you use to short shifting or not down shifting as far as you think you need to. I used 3rd gear out of all the slow turns at Daytona Road.

But to be honest sometime professional physics just pisses me off alot :(. Sometime i think that creators of Gt5 should have added some arcade fun with professional physics and not make it just a real simulation game in professional physics. I am not a rich person so only have driven slow cars in real life like a Civic DX or a Protege. Don't know when am i going to get better with these high HP RWD Cars :--). May be one day. Practice continues.

If professional physics were arcade style, then it would completely miss the point. Just use standard physics. I think you can use them in all the events, can't you?

The best track to practice on is Suzuka, because it's also the hardest. I still haven't quite got it down.

Wellcome. Same thing goes for me and now i am trying to get some input from the Gurus to be competetive online and time trial.

I just raced 80 laps of High Speed ring with an Amuse S2000 professional Physics and was not able to achieve a good time. Practice is still going but for me with TCS off on these RWD cars is very very very tough. Sometime i accelerate through the corners very very slow and sometime i give alot of throttle and Dang my car does a 360 :--).

Anyhow i am returning my Driving Force Gt steering wheel to best buy tomorrow and buying Logitech G25 steering wheel with a clutch and a gear box. I've heard alot of good reviews about G25. I saw a youtube video for G25 and was just in love with it. Where i spent 149 on DFGT then why not add 60 more dollar and buy a whole package which comes with clutch and gear box also ?

Good Idea... The G25 is a dream... I have borrowed one from a colleague for a couple of weeks and Ive made up my mind... end of the month Im purchasing a G25 :D By the way, I have a something for you with the Amuse at HSR... maybe it will help out :) It is a 800PP 6 gear setup.... Maybe it will work for you... maybe not ... 👍

True i could have used standard physics but the only reason i don't use it because of E-Brakes. I don't like hitting E-Brakes. If Gt5 can take E Brakes out from standard physics then i can have fun over there. I really think GT5P standard physics is just very similar to Forza 2. Just a thought.

Just got my G25 and have been driving the Z-06 Tuned with Professional physics. I am doing time trial in Fuji and Suzuka. Great tracks and fun to drive with G25 just like you are driving a real car with the H shifter it makes it more fun :--). After running good 3 laps i decide to push my car in the 4th to catch up all those other people but unfortunately i do a 360. Still trying my best and one thing is for sure that the G25 has made my life easier in Professional Physics. Now it's just a matter of time to get used to the throttle and braking zones.

Thanks for the tip though.

Thanks man loading the setup right now and will update after running 20 laps on Suzuka and Fuji.

Blitz boss. why your car does not slide ? I mean what kind of magic have you done in this RWD car mate ? Unbelievable. First car t o ever drove in suzuka without getting penalty and without spinning it out. I drove it for PP750 and still the car is awesome. I will search under the tuning garage to see if you have any other car tunes. My favorite GT5P car now Amuse S2000 :--). Even though i came 7th because of the traffic hehe

Thanks for the compliment :) But that tune was actually HSR specific...
I have an exceptional tune in my garage for the S2000 and Suzuka 750PP... was one of my favorite tunes... Also has a clip I made showing u how it flies :P 6 gear setup as well 👍

you can find it here...

the revlimit wont save you if you downshift to fast, all it dose is cut fule and/or spark, if you down shift to soo the tranny will "push" the motor thru the revlimter.
