so who can do doughnuts, power slides, and pendulums?

i could pull doughnuts with AWD and RWD. I have replays with the Cdma One Supra doing a doughnut, S2000 GT1 doing a doughnut, and a '82 RWD Starlet pulling one also. The doughnuts are not where you slide then pause, slide then pause, it's more of a constant moving momentum thingy. it's keeps spinning around and around without and slide pause, slide pause.

sometimes i'm just bored and go to the Machine Test to pull off some doughnuts or go race and do some powerslides.

Though i might share my fun time.

what do you guys do when you're bored?

I've tried doughnuts before, but couldn't pull it off. Are there any special settings? I'm not sure if I were in one of the cars you mentioned, but I will try them ...

Whats a pendulum?

Pretty much any good 4wd rally car can do donuts easily.

Usually when I'm bored, I take a car I like to drive (Oreca Viper, Elise GT1, one of the good rally cars) and race around a few tracks, seeing how far I can get ahead of the competition.

When I'm bored of that, I build hybrids.

there's no special settings at all, maybe a medium slick tire in the rear will help the rear loosen up. the best doughnuts are when you're turning left (full lock to the left). Right turn (full lock to the to the right) doughnuts don't come out pretty.

this is how i get into a doughnut with the Cdma One Supra:
i revv up untill i hit 50-60mph and then i do the pedulum/e-brake technique.

i turn right a bit, then hard left, brake, and then e-brake until the rear of car faces 1/4 to me then let go of e-brake and gas it. The car starts to do a doughnut. sometimes i'm a bit off and the inside front wheel rolls fast and slow.

You want that inside front wheel to at least be rolling at a constant speed. You will know by looking at your inside front wheel.

Whats a pendulum?
it is a technique used to shift weight from left to right. More of a trying to make the car roll/lean. This is also a tech. used for drifting.

To do this, lets say you come to a right hand turn. Before the turn, you steer a bit to the left, then hard right into the turn. This will shift the weight from the right to the left and load up the tires on the left and less load on the right tires. This reduces grip therefore you start sliding/drifting.

with my mad katz steering wheel i can do burnouts for ever on one spot, neat as dohnuts and and even complete some tracks the whole way without the wheels stoping or the car connecting the wall

I always called that faint motion. Is that a proper term?

e brake at 30mph, steer one way, and do a 180. Go in reverse in a rear drive car to at least 55 and steer hard in a direction while releasing reverse; drive off and you have done a j turn. You can try to reimplement a j turn again before the first one finishes If you want something cool to see. Try the black vette at clubman stage 5.

1. Find out what all the racing mods look like
2. Build hybrids
3. Do time trials
4. Rally with cars not intended for rallying
5. GameShak the track I really want to race on
6. See what else fellow GT2 fans have found.

Does anyone want to learn some techniques? i can help if needed. Just post in here what it is you want to do.

When im bored i get in a car, take it to the machine test, make full front brake bias, no back brake and skid the **** out of the wheels.
