Miata:
Im not a good drifter, hardly get gold on the drifts. Tried to drift with front CS and rear CH. Switched to fron CH and rear CM. Perfect. Made 10700 the first try after 8995 with the previous setup.

I'm now on 16523pts. and I think I can do near 18k.
I use supercharger all Mazdas since it bring more torque.

managed gold on the SS with an old mx5 (yom 93 or so...)

but cote d'azur is a joke... tried my old drift-supra and for fun the speed 12...
then had a look at the rakings... speachless... r u kidding me?
Some people really are making a mockery of drift events... of course it is funny but not the real sence of such events...

On the other hand I also say PD might improve "drift rating".
What looks better:
Speed 6 crawling with 50 miles in 7th gear nearly wallriding at the inner side of a curve
or
Sweet supra/mustang/sx200/porsche/whatever going in a long clean smooth well-angled drift on top gear or tzukuba last corner...

So long...

Gonna do cote with my Midget
And that guy (who_da_daddy_4x) is person who teached me to do DT's 👍

I knew him , he's very good.

Btw I just did 12015 points , my 6th , 5th sectors are crap.

Congratulations for the gold, did you use the CM tires or CH ?

First I used CH front and CM rear, but I couldn't get past 9250pts, so I changed to CH all around !! Much better ! :)

Yeah, it's harder with CM, I used CM all around when I got gold, maintaining 80-100 km/h drift and good angle is harder than with CH.

Anyone a setup for the subaru 360?
Just tried it for fun and don't know how they do that.... to dumb to cheat...lol ;-)

👍👍
I'm not a drifter but a friend of mine does these and he told me that if I wanted to learn how to drift, I should watch how the pros do it at Cote. So I watched some of the top replays at Cote and I must say, you guys are amazing. The way you guys throw those automobiles around that track just amazes me. You should feel proud. I wish I could be cool and drift like that, lol. Yes, I'm being a smartass because I can't believe people take such measures just to get their names in the top ten. I gotta say tho, watching those replays did make for some good entertainment, I needed a good laugh.

Another well-deserved 👍

Just did 17757pts on Special Stage Route 5..
Got to hit over 18k to stay on top10:nervous:
I just took about 5 days brake of DT's and needed under 10 trys to do it :)

Speed 6 has 5 gears ;). Just messin with ya! We know you mean the Speed 12, and I agree, I have had some nice looking drifts that I barely get half-flags just because the game doesn't like them. Just like the fact that you don't get points for reverse entry, and you can get massive points for the Subaru 360 at Cote

I did gold the previous Cote DT properly with the 360 - it's quite hard work though as it doesn't change direction so easily.

This time I ended up using the Shelby Cobra (stock, CH) for around 7500. I like the Cobra for lower speed drifts - it just works. I tried a couple of other cars (Amemiya RX7, tuned Supra) first but couldn't get the feel right.

Took me a fair few attempts to get the SSR DT. Just beat the gold score using the '07 Roadster high RPM turbo and a air/exhaust upgrades plus low ratio 'box from TT. It was getting a bit frustrating with the last two sectors, but then it clicked, just over 10K I think.

After a week - I am now afraid I will have to admit defeat for the first time ever on a seasonal. The côte d'azur is proving way too hard for me and I'm only getting scores in the high 5ks.

Can anyone provide a decent car and setup that could do the trick on this twisty low-speed track?

I'm still barely hitting the 6k mark, so I guess the problem is between the chair and the controller - not in the setup of the car. :)

Try to fit front CH and rear CM or front CM and rear CH tire, see if it helps.

Well mine final results #8642 Côte d'Azur yep I used Midget

Special Stage Route 5 Reverse #11 and I'm happy with that :)

I don't know how I managed, but after about two hours of slowly getting nowehere - I suddenly got a 7,5k. Hands down my least favorite event so far :)
