The Rally Photomode Competition will no longer be held.

I would like to thank all those that helped to keep the competition alive for a little over a year. There were some VERY awesome photos entered into the competition during that time. Yes, there were weekly winner but everyone that entered was a winner in that they were all great entries and most all of them received many comending comments.

Over the past few weeks, entries have dwindled down to only 5 or 6 with this past week only receiving 3. Therefore, I have decided that since there is a serious lack of interest in producing non-PhotoShop pictures in this forum, this competition is no longer wanted or needed.

Thanks again to all that entered over the course of this competition. It was a lot of fun while it lasted.

I would of entered, but the rules were too strict - I like to edit pics. If the rules were similar to other 2.0, or head to head comps maybe there might be more interest. This is a good comp. sorry to see it go...

There would have been more interest. The reason I don't follow this comp was that the shots were stock, nothing impressive IMO. Photoshop has become essential to have a good shot, and this competition restricts it. This is my opinion though, some people still thinks that unededited shots are better.

But your competition has run much more time than any competition I could try. I'm sorry to see it go.

Sad to see another one go. I have a feeling the original photomode competition is going to shut down too. Using photoshop to make pictures doesn't take as much talent as it does using the basic photomode. Everything evolves turning a simple fun thing into a job-like complicated process, comparable to everything nowadays.

Sad to this this comp go. I honestly would have entered more if we could do some editing. Although it was a lot tougher making good pics without any editing.

You are correct there slick. I have always known that the basic photomode is a very powerful tool; And I have long said that pictures are made in game and not in PS. Too many people here forget that Photoshop is a tool, and not a crutch.

First: thanks for running rally photo comp! I can see why you wanted to end it, but it always was a well organized competition. 👍

Is this based on something Arsenal told you that we don't know about? Because I don't see why that comp needed to end. It has done just as well as the other two remaining comps. Might be reasonable to start putting only ten photos to the poll though, it would add some competition to it. Anyway, it's the only comp left where you can get a competitive shot without putting lot of photoshop in to it.

No, just a prediction based on not meeting twenty entries a week and only having some forty odd people vote. We used to have fifty to sixty entries and nearly a hundred people voting. I'm sure the GT5 photo competitions will be like the general photomode competition when it started, but people get bored with things and it just dwindles down. I will help in anyway I can though if Arsenal needs it. Just drop me a pm.

Well, Sad to see it go, but I have to admit, there really was little interest in this competition. I see why you decided to close it down.

But great job anyways, it was a well orgainized competition.

Just my 2 cents- I never really got into the rally comps because, quite simply, there was never any thing to look at in the thread itself.. the other comps are fun because you can see everyones entries as soon as they post them, which in turn sparks great comments & conversations. I think thats one of the main reasons why the rally comp lost peoples interest. Beside the fact that an untouched shot from GT4 isnt that great, not like say, a real photo. Photoshop takes it those few steps closer to reality. What can I say, PS awes the masses.....

I haven't been able to enter anything in the last 8 weeks due to my location.

As far as the original PMC comp, please don't have any worries about it going away. As long as anybody is entering, I will keep the comp going. I only wanted to shorten the poll in order to improve competition and the voting process, and I think we will have a great top ten starting this week.
