E3 2008 and GT5....

Hopefully some gameplay and/or a release date, but im thinking a CGI trailer combined with some gameplay showing night time racing and some new stuff.

A new trailer for GT5? It could happen, considering there has not been one yet, and apparently, they have been working on the game for 4 years, so it should be getting far in its development now. Mind you, it has also been said that despite this, the game might not be realeased until after 2010!

It was Fiorano. I would fancy Fiorano in GT5...

Unless there's a GT5 or GT5P playable demo on the show floor, I don't think there's going to be any breaking news regarding either.

I usually take an optomistic mindset on things. If we don't see GT5 progress at E3, then rest assured that we'll see at least SOMETHING between now and the Tokyo Game Show in Septemer or October. Do you really think a game project like GT5 is going to be completely under wraps for at least two months?

So you can look at it like this: these minor details could only be the appetizer to a main course PD will provide in the near future. We'll have to keep watching (especially here in America) G4 and look in at different tidbits from E3 online. It isn't like a highly-anticipated game is going to be never shown in at least some detail like those Microsoft punks having that "special camera angle" not allowing us a chance to see Final Fantasy XIII (but forced to sit through HALO Wars or whatever). If you're a REAL fan of Gran Turismo, wouldn't you rather be optomistic about seeing a legitimate progress report on the next GT rather than vent your hate at Polyphony Digital and Sony Computer Entertainment for something you weren't expecting to see? It's just Tuesday in this week of E3 footage. Who's to say we're never going to get ANYTHING out of PD this week or somewhere down the road?

Have patience. I've said this in the GT4 forums when we anticipated GT4 (despite delays and no online mode), so I'm am stressing it again here as we anticipate GT5. I may be the only one offering positive messages on this deal here on GTP. PD has yet to purely disappoint me.

Guys, like John stated above, its not over yet... E3 starts tomorrow and it will remain 2 days... yesterday and today were "just" the keynotes and presentations from the big companies.

honestly, i did expect to see a trailer in this very same sony presentation we just saw, seeing as how big GT is for sony and how it sold millions allready, i really see no reason for them to leave it out... maybe the team is hard at work and cant be arsed to compile a trailer for this years E3?

I dont know, i'll keep faith and patiently wait for the trailer or something else to come in the next few days.

It was really good I think, the SONY one, Many new cool games I will get and excited for..
But it was disappointing for GT5

Well, I got to shut down my time on GTP for now. Day 1 coverage of E3's coming up on G4. So I'll be sure to check into this thread if I see something interesting involving GT.
