I think we were a bit spoilt by Le Maestros because it was so damn good car-wise but no, this one doesn't match up at all. That said, I'm looking forward to the new stages and the '99 Peugeot 206 livery is s nice surprise, always loved that one.

we need proper inclusion in career mode and new trophies to add replay value.

Even the most stupid call of duty dlc is full of trophies.

Just few time trials and scenarios would make it.

The colin mcrae dlc for dirt2 should be the benchmark.

Was holding my breath for a Fiesta RS WRC (2011-2016), but I'm happy with the pack. The Michelin Pilot livery for the Escort RS has always been a favorite of mine.

There's not too much to dislike here I think, maybe the car list could have been more varied cos as much as I love the MK1 Focus, the difference between the '99 and '01 is pretty much cosmetic ( rear wing and front bumper/headlights ). '99 has indicators in the bumper, '01 has them inside the headlights ( main difference between MK1 and MK1.5 facelift ), plus the different rear wing. Bit of a shame that the Martini livery still isn't fully accurate, no 'Martini' and the stripes are wrong but due to alcohol advertising and certain licensing they had to modify it. But even that's a bit odd because the other new liveries are accurate, Pilot being a case in point.

Loving the MK1 Escort, hope it drives ok.

The new stages look like they're going to be great to drive, especially Greece

Not right now unfortunately. Dev team know but it’s not an easy thing to add at the moment with the way career is built. I’ll keep it top of our internal “what is the community talking about” lists though.

Thanks for the update, glad to know it’s still on the radar as i’d love to use the new class (DS3 and Polo in caree), and the rest of the dlc! : )
For now i will just use the new liveries 😜

I'm just happy for now that you guys added Tet to career even if it ends up clashing with other events on the calendar every time I play.

I'm happy with any new content to be honest. It was very reasonably priced to start with and I like they are trying to flesh out existing categories. WRC 2017, Rally 3 and Rally 4 are pretty much complete now. MK1 Escort I love as a Ford guy. I agree the Escort WRC would have been fun but I'm more than happy. Stages look great too!

A great article on the development of the Focus WRC (I love this website, The in depth articles on the development of modern rallying as well as historic is brilliant)

There are some fantastic features on the WRC Wings website.

M-Sport did a pretty good book on the Focus (in conjunction with McKlein) a few years ago. Not that technical, but the full history of each car and a really enjoyable read.

Sounds interesting! I'll keep an eye out. 👍

Edit - Is it this one?

No, this is it:

By the way, it is implied that the JWRC Fiesta, just like the Mini last time, will be "copied" into the new Rally3 class, with a Armstrong livery attached :dopey:
Yep, joined by the Clio Rally3, cool class.

I'm happy with what we have overall, Les Maestros was always going to be a hard act to follow, it was such an iconic selection of highly requested cars. But this is absolutely great, the addition of the Clios is very welcome, nice to have another modern rally car and another Rally3 to boot. The Hyundai is obviously great for the now stacked 17-21 category, just missing the Yaris now. Escort MK1 is iconic and very welcome. The Focus 99, whilst similar to the 2001 that we have, is different enough for me to be excited for it's inclusion and it's got a GOAT livery so that's brilliant, well done there. Weakest car in the pack is probably the Corsa which is just a rebadged 208 Rally4 that we already have, but I guess also makes it easier to get into the game as well.

Great selection of liveries, love that we have the Matthew Wilson Stobart Focus as well as the Gronholm one. Michelin Escort is a great addition too, Cordoba, 206, all great.

Umea looks good, will be nice to have an up to date Swedish stage to drive and Harvati looks classic Greece and should be excellent.

Can kiss that one goodbye 😄
Damn! M-Sport were selling the last copies cheap on eBay not long ago.

The book you posted doesn't look a bad alternative (and it isn't going to cost you a fortune)

Yeah, Pretty gutted. M-Sport one looks great. There's an in depth entry and history of each chassis Etc. Looks like a great piece.

Mixed feelings regarding this one, I also agree that Meastros set a high bar that HC might struggle to reach.

On one hand, more stages! Briançonnet in particular was my personal highlight from Maestros, if Umea and/or Harvati can match that I'd be thrilled. The pre-hybrid i20 is also a welcome addition, it rounds out that late WRC class very nicely although I'm wondering where it will end up in regards to performance. A decent selection of liveries to round things out as well (without having to fish around for PAK files!).

On the other... Harvati's divided stages have a bit of overlap, which is something of a theme from the other Greece stages. That's not so bad, but Umea is baffling. Looking at the patch notes I initially thought they snuck in an extra stage to complement Umea and its sprint variant, but the only difference between Full Umea and Ersmark is a 600-odd metre straight into the initial junction for the former and a much shorter run for the latter... from there they're the same stage.

I can kinda understand erring away from convention by not including the other half of Umea as a mini-stage, to all intents and purposes it's effectively 5km of full throttle with half a dozen corners (half of which again probably wouldn't even necessitate the brakes) but in the same breath one of Latvia's mini-stages is broadly similar i.e only using the brakes a handful of times. I can't help but get the feeling more than a few people will be sick of the sight of the barn arena, especially if it ends up being resource heavy ala the Corsican cliff town.

Personally I'd say the '99 Focus is probably the most underwhelming part of the pack, for all intents and purposes it adds nothing new to a class that is already elongated and unbalanced (Please split that into two next year 😇).

Yeah, it is a decent book. Some superb pictures in it (but I'd expect nothing less from a McKlein book, which is why I bought it).

Would have liked more technical details on the car (and it's evolution), although it does have quite a bit of info throughout.
