Just felt the first one during my time here. Apparently it was a 4.5.. Pretty cool. :D If you felt it, feel free to chime in.

Didn't felt it, I was sleeping, but, is it really the first one you ever feel?

Where are you from?, not from Riverside, as I see (Finland is it?), most earthquakes in the area happen in Riverside, Centro and Imperial Valley

So, you think 4.5 is cool? wait for a 6.0+ that's sub-zero, but difficult to stay on your feet

I was in Mexicali when the 7.0 struck there back in 2010

That was NOT cool, the Earth used cheat codes and a lot of people, including myself, couldn't walk 10 meters before falling to the floor

We had a minor earthquake along the east coast about a year ago, where several states felt it. Everyone I knew freaked out a bit and they all felt it. Strangely, I believe I was the only one who didn't feel it, amongst my group of friends.

The one I felt was less than 20min away by car, and was only couple miles deep, hence why the effect was felt so clearly.

Never felt a earthquake living in Texas...or seen a tornado, or saw snow...
big hurricanes suck, by the way :P
I know there are a lot if people that have never seen snow, but it's still hard to believe for me.
Do you want some snow in a bottle mailed to you?:P

I live in the vicinity of the New Madrid Seismic Zone. Earthquakes felt along that region are believed to be aftershocks from an earthquake that happened 200 years ago, I find that astonishing.

Still, I can't but feel like its "building up" to something more than what happened all those years ago...

I actually live on a major fault line, about 12 miles from it (roughly). Ironically enough, there's a collage built directly on top of it. Fortunately, it's not very active.

We had a 4.0 quake hit in 2010 on the northern end of the state. Personally, I didn't think much about it at the time when it happens because my washing machine likes to rattle my house quite a bit (though we do get random spurts of shaking in the house when nothings running...odd). My dad called me to see if I felt and it and told me what it was and after looking back a bit I did realize my computer monitor shook quite a bit more than normal.

Other than that I wasn't impressed. Some felt it, others didn't.

It should be noted that I was a good 4-5 hours drive from the epicenter.

All i have to worry about are bushfires.
The only thing australia can't kill you with is earthquakes.

You just missed it. A series of 3.0+ quakes hit my area within the last two months or so. Felt some as well.

During the earthquake that cracked the memorial in Washington, I was in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania visiting friends. We were in the car with the radio, so we didn't feel/hear anything. That was probably my first earthquake "experience"

Last year, when there was an earthquake in New Hampshire (???, I forgot where it was), I was on the computer with my headphones in so I also didn't feel/hear anything. But my parents downstairs felt it and said the furniture "shook" a bit.

Where were you when that rare snow storm hit here 4 years ago?

Plus, I really want to feel the strength impact of a earthquake.

Well, no wonder Riverside has so many earthquakes. This town is practically on a small slab or bedrock between the continents, acting as a ballbearing of sorts, I suppose..

I thought it was only considered an earthquake when it's really strong or at least thats how it is here...

It shakes like every week here.. sometimes pretty hard but i guess people are already used to it

Oh, right. That maybe quarter inch of snow I skipped school for...
totally worth it
I think he was referring to the DFW area, which did see a foot of snow over two days. I had to walk through it, so I would know.
