Effect of various engine upgrades

Does it matter which engine upgrades you add to a car if the final HP is the same? In other words, if upgrading my intake increases HP to say 350, would my car be affected differently if I added a turbo instead and the final HP was the same?

Yeah, different upgrades affect the torque curve differently. You can see the curve in the settings menu as you apply the parts.

yes that is absolutely correct, torque is what will be most effected through use of the different parts.

On certain cars like the Toyota 7 i noticed that with the full tune + biggest turbo it makes 920-something horsepower instead of 807 with the stock turbo, but the PP are higher with the stock turbo, and higher still if you use the power limiter to knock the power back

Really?? That seems very strange!

I don't find it that odd, the displacement of the engine just doesn't seem to be able to utilize such a large turbo. plus with the midrange torque and horsepower available down low with the stock turbines are much more usable than the extra 30-40 horsepower up top with the massive turbo. and the PP system shows that.

It's the classic case that more is not always best.
