We were way too polite. You checked up waiting for me to take the inside, I hesitated, then we both went at same time and chaos ensued. My fault as I peeked inside but I do that on lap one or the folks behind bomb inside but to you it looked like I was initiating a pass.

You 5 race experience was me last night, I fared better today with less idiots but still one guy i just knew would cause chaos and he did by.... yo guessed it.... bombing a guy into 2/3.

I think i am done for the week and I usually spend Friday through Sunday night on the couch watching shows I don't like with the wife.

Race 2: Started P7. Couldn't avoid an accident in front of me at the Chicane of Death on Lap 1, bonked the car in front of me, got tagged from behind, and collected a 2.0 second penalty. Had a solo spin out of the final corner to start Lap 2. Was in last place for a while. SR took a big hit. Finished P14.
That actually sums up this race in anything other than A+ lobbies and even the Rory or Maxpower will be facing the wrong way at some point.

As I said earlier I don't find it a particularly fun track with these cars, it deliberately tricky and unforgiving and I think that's calculated especially as a GTWS is coming up and they want the sorting hat in the right place.

No worries. It was my first time racing with you, so I wanted to leave some space. 😬

Coincidentally, my wife asked what I want for my birthday (40 today lol) and I asked her for the DD Pro brake spring thingy and we just placed the order now 🎅
Happy birthday.

I’m sure the CSL load cell will be fine. For my V2, I think the issue is metal fatigue in the base plate of the load cell. It’s basically losing its strength so it’s gradually bending over time or losing its ability to spring back. This part.

Now my pedals are out of warranty but the good news is if you contact support they’ll sell you a new base plate. I’m waiting for sales to contact me with the quote. Hopefully it’s not silly $$$ and won’t take too long to get.

I’ll skip anything competitive until this is fixed. I’ll bash out more of single player for now (still trying to complete everything in the game).

So close to a win on B earlier, managed a decent race with no slip ups, P1&2 took themselves out on lap 2 and P3 managed to get 5secs away from me in P2.

Thought to myself, it’s hammer time 🤣

He caught the wall last lap but I just couldn’t take him last corner, finished 0.5sec behind

Edit. And another win just went begging, slight wall tap last lap! He sailed right by! 🤬

Frustrating...but tough to complain about podiums, lol!

I decided to go racing this morning. Was worried QT was going to put me mid-pack or lower but ended-up P3 on the grid. Groovy. Problem was, the pre-race auto-drive was the cleanest driving I could muster for the next two races. Ended P9 and P....no clue. Just blocking those out.

Then THIS happened. Pretty much exemplifies the kind of racing we come here for. Patient and clean. P1 binned it L2 at the esses. P2 missed the carnage but took a trip to the lawn in the process. Next three laps were a great battle...finished .074 ahead. 😁

Just some stellar racing from my competitor. Could've pushed the issue and gone side-by-side innumerable times but passed on the battle to try to win the war. Good stuff.👍

Mate, what was that!!!!! Unbelievable.

Great race and chuffed to hell for ya 🤣 I’ve been so close today but not quite managed to bring one home. Good that I’m disappointed with podiums because the bar is so high 😉

I think it goes, congratulations, that was a phenomenal race 😁

The racing for me has been awesome today, clean, friendly, everybody leaving space for each other - this is how it’s meant to be

i tried to race yesterday evening but it did not go well. i'm not sure why but i just kept losing it, @afc5150 can be my witness as he was in each of the 3 or 4 races i tried to do. ill put it down to physical tiredness but i was eating the wall in places i havent had issues all week.

this morning though i was able to get some great races in. including this one. first replay is cinematic second is driver cam. enjoy

This is basically perfect racing at excellent lap speeds too, mid to high 38's are hard to maintain. YOu're right, the other guy was clean but you also kept it clean by not moving in the braking zones. This is where seaside can shine, especially that last corner where there are two legit lines, clipping the apex or going high result in very similar lap times because you can fire out of that high line so much fast than the traditional tighter line.

Still, I find the gear spamming in this game a bit suss. You're dropping to 1st on corners you could legit take in 3rd then you're quickly shifting up mid corner. I know why you do it, I just find it asinine that the game encourages it.

@Dairyworker I couldn't believe what I was seeing last night in those races! I was ready to just take my podium, but nooooo, you had other ideas and I think I even managed to win one of those from 4th place.

I have 42 races in so far this week and will post my results on Monday sometime, but I over stayed my welcome last night and had a couple disastrous races and even managed to lose a little SR before retiring for the night.

well as far as a good Daily race B, this one at Watkins before the GTWS cup race was decent! In my white Lambo Hurcan Gr.4 and managed an 8th place, almost an anti-meta car but not quite it is a bit twitchy on corners. I was doing really good up unitl lap 8 then got slapped with stupid penalties on the chicanes, that made me lose like 4 positons so annyoing but oh well.

This is true. It's the technicalities that make it so good. It's frustrating, but once you get it, it's SO rewarding. It's much more enjoyable than High Speed ring. Also, it generally has 1 line, but there are a few spots where there are two or even three lines. I totally empathize though. At the beginning of the week I was down because this is normally a difficult track, but I focused on the important part!! Don't let the chicane of death take you :)...let it take the others.

Anyway, after a short break making F1 liveries, I jumped back into racing today and scored another win :D

Circling back around to what I said at the start, this was a sweet victory because I inherited nothing. I started third, I watched for the openings and took advantage when I could. Lots of dicing and swapping positions, but I held on...the chicane of death actually saved me because second place pushed too hard, tapped the wall, and backed up the field by about 1 second for a comfortable win :D

Great race man!! The Lambo is a fine car. I just have to get used to it's handling and braking. Yeah, the penalties can be a pain because when you pass through the yellow line, you serve it and end up losing time which can definitely cost you some positions. I know the Lambo is twitchy at times during hard corners, but it's tolerable for me. Good luck with tomorrow and next week.

@afc5150 Great race again with @Dairyworker .

You have more pace than your QT shows. Yesterday night, right from the start you put pressure on me and I could barely stay on track. I was like "what's going on tonight", was not in sync with the car and track.

Pretty sure it's me who made you mess up some races. All that to say you are a fearsome competitor to have in the mirror, fast, consistent.

Just for fun, are you the guy who honk passing by when I was eating grass like a cow?

I haven't given race A as much time as it deserves this week, from the few I've done it seems to get really spready out after a few corners so you don't get anybody to race against even with the strong slipstream. This one I hung onto the leader all lap and was close enough to try something desperate at the end, I came up short but I had to try: 💪

I've raced a lot of race B today and really like the AMG, it's not as fast as the other cars but is lovely to drive, it felt great in the Watkins Glen GTWS race too against the M6's.

@Mc_Yavel very kind words, thank you. It's been a lot of fun racing many of you guys this week. Too bad it has to come to an end.

I wasn't feeling synced last night either. Probably too much racing and too tired. Should have quit maybe 2 races earlier than I did. Also noticed this morning, I had my PC settings loaded on my wheel, they're not too different than my PS settings, but maybe that had something to do with it.

And yes, I may have tooted my horn on the way by, I hope you didn't take it as making fun, just having a little laugh against friendly competitor.

Finally grabbed a win in Race B this week, driving the Porsche, in the higher end of BS. Really rough time getting there though with much of the week spent racing around the back of the grid as I couldn’t put in a good enough qual lap. I only qualify with the car I race, and at the moment I’m solely racing the Porsche in Gr3, so a 1.38.3 was all I could get out of it. Watching the Supras, they seemed to have an easier time getting turned into the chicane at speed. I’ll be happy to see the back of the chicane once the week’s done, but at least I can walk away with a win now.

Remind me next time Nordschleife is on the list to pretend as if it's not even there. Trying to understand the penalty system at that track is frustrating at best. Getting rammed and taking 2 seconds while the rammer gets a free pass doesn't seem fair. I know that happens everywhere at times; but taking an SR hit? ...it's just not worth it here.

Man, I love the Nordschleif. I can't remember the last time it was in the dailies.

After a couple of second places, I decided to up my qualifying time. Got it down to 8:18ish and qualified 3rd (in a DR: D lobby cuz I'm slow). The two in front got in a squabble at Aremberg, giving me the lead. 2nd place was on my a$$ until Brunchen where he tapped me and I let him in front. He got a half-second penalty for the tap and I just sucked his wheel(s) until Antoniusbuche.

Here's hoping it isn't months until the green hell returns to the Daily Races.

Also I thought I selected to "Save Replay" of the race, and now I can't find a replay anywhere.

Well done

It should be in your showcase on the games home menu where the menu books are etc

Any of you guys notice a difference between the two M6s?
For whatever reason, I am getting better lap times with the Endurance model than I am with the Sprint model.
It could be that I'm somehow driving them differently, without realizing it.

The only difference is the fuel tank size and some enduro lights.

The enduro model is fractionally heavier with fuel and lights, I prefer the enduro model as well personally. But mostly I can't tell a Sausage between them when I'm actually driving them:

Well another decent days racing I’d say, back to BS and fighting for wins so I’d be happy with that but it’s been a case of what could have been with some mistakes here and there.

Very fast weeks racing and the faster guys were just a little of my and my Porsche’s reach.

I took the time to make some videos now I figured out how to snip the bits of video I wanted to show 😁 (any other tips gratefully received)

If you get the time - have a watch, no wins but fierce racing

Until next week guys
