When I beat this event I used brake balance 7/10 but that was about a year ago so things may of changed with the physics. As someone else said try hitting the handbrake for a very short time to help turn in to corners but try not to slide or you're just losing time.

I'm going to have to figure out how I can get replay videos on YouTube. I did this recently with a time of 1:16.5xx. I'd like to help anyone out who might be having trouble. It wasn't easy! Took me probably 3 to 4 hours.

I think my best (cheapest) option for getting my replay's to youtube will be recording them with the iPhone 4S. I have a capture device, but I don't want to drag my PS3 all the way up to my desktop computer. It's only able to caption from analog sources anyway, so it wouldn't be great quality. I will set up some kind of stand to hold the iPhone and record from my projector screen in a stable way. That should work out nice.

Times in the 1:14s are pretty amazing. I'm just happy to see that at least my time would be in the mid Div 3 range. Not bad for someone who only has about 10k miles driven in GT5! :)

Back to helping those who are having trouble with this. Here is the link to the youtube replays of the Division 1 Winner in the GTP_WRS for this event.

Here is my replay. Taken with my iPhone clipped into a mic stand. I think next time I'll get the whole screen instead of clipping the sides...

the secret to passing this test with flying colors, is to alter your Brake Bias, FR and rear. (cues Zelda discovery music). I learnt of this secret after having to finally dig deep, when I couldn't ace it for my 1000th time. After brake adjust, got it in less than 5 to 10 tries. repeatedly. Since then, the first tune setting I change is my brake bias in all cars on the Nordschleife. 5 / 5 Bias default, is ... bad.

So you are not using ABS at all, not even at level 1?
