Chosen from the random Republican party register.

Edit: It's like one of those scam giveaways on Twitter (lol)

"Guys, I'm giving away ONE MILLION DOLLARS to one of my followers.

Make sure you vote Republican to be in with a chance of winning."

I feel like I've seen this big-brain play from Musk somewhere before...#

... oh yes ...

Yea that's illegal.

But only if Kamala wins. If Trump wins, that's not illegal because Trump will abuse the presidency to enable breaking election laws. This is how broken the US is right now.

It's actually more illegal than I realized. The legal analysis above suggests that it might also be illegal under PA law as well and an illegal lottery. 597, the law I quoted, is the first one he mentions in the video.

Since multiple hostile government leaders now have tried to get him to go against federal interests, when does the federal government take away his federal contracts and federal security clearance?
Because he’s a white man with money. And when capitalism is your religion that makes you a god.

It’s really that simple.

It's way past time for this.

It's sad that the only thing that will tickle any of these rats is them going to jail. Even that is pretty much an impossible task, but that's about the only thing they could be scared of. Not buying Teslas or closing twitter or even removing government contracts does nothing for bringing Musk down a peg. Same thing with people now cancelling Prime and WaPo subscriptions. Billionaires already made so much money they have nothing to worry about even if they somehow were taxed at say 95% for the rest of their lives.

Today's news, judge to decide whether Musk gets a pay package large enough to destroy every democracy in the world or restrict him to being satisfied with just buying Trump the White House

I was going to come out and simply say that:
"Good leaders and leadership don't have to become assholes ****** bullies...."

But It could have been too simple for me to unfairly accuse him of something without giving him another layer benefits of my doubt....

And so I try to use more of my critical thinking skills:
"Chicken or Egg" situation

Was Elon ****** before becoming famous and successful
Or was he just recently becoming ****** after associating himself with trump?
At which point ? Or was there even a turning point?

I am starting to think that currently, in today's society, the path to leadership Is training you to become a dick, bully, a$$H@le just for survival...

I think the competitiveness and the fight to always outdo each other means that only the strong (and thus sadly) the not-so-nice bulLIES always end up on top (nice guys finish last)...

So maybe Elon didn't want to be a bad person or $#+!!y leader, but the backstabbing nature to ascend in the corporate capitalistic society is forging him to become one,
otherwise thieves and line cutters around each corner will steal his ideas....

It's dogs eat dogs Type of things.

Knowing all that, I wonder if in the future, there would be a situation where the standard of becoming a leader you can be go to everyone and command respects and encourage people to be less, OR not bullies at all, nor kills each other....

Can we be competitive without cheating each other out ?

Why is human nature not able to steer towards positivity, but rather negativity instead?
Why can't the nice people finish first all the damn time??!
Are we humans not evolved enough yet ?

It seems so.

For as long as I've been aware of him, he's seemed like a! #? *... I think that dates back to suing Top Gear. Accounts I've read of his treatment of his first wife are also pretty poor, and it sounds like he was an over privileged arse at college/uni... So I'd say yes... He's always been a %@#!?.

Far too many people believe that leaders must be jerks to be successful. So many people believe this at such a fundamental level that those people get elevated.

It also throws into relief a built-in misogyny. Because women are expected/demanded not to be jerks, and so the same people who believe leaders must be jerks to be successful also will not back women leaders. For what it's worth, women who do not buy into the "I must be a jerk to succeed" nonsense also tend to make better leaders.

"Make comedy legal again".

Have these "comedians" tried not turning their sets into 30-50 minute MAGA suck off lectures where all the punchlines are about pronouns & libs? Write some actual jokes.

Meanwhile, comedy is doing just fine; Nate Bargatze, Dave Chappelle, Jerry Seinfeld, Gabriel Iglesias, & Matt Rife have pulled in $240+ million this year alone.

I don't understand why if the Dems would have to wait until they win the election to destroy Elon Musk. Aren't they already in power?

Maybe that's why people don't believe him.

Can't Biden/Harris just revoke his legality of being in the US and ship him out? After all, they can call it an official act.

from Philly courtroom —

Musk lawyer says his $1m giveaway is NOT a lottery. "There is no prize to be won" and winners "are not chosen at random," Musk lawyer Chris Gober said.

Instead, the $1m is a salary they "earn" to be a spokesperson for Musk's pro-Trump super PAC. Winners are picked based on their "suitability to serve" and their personal story, Gober said.

In response, Philly DA team called this a "complete admission of liability" that Musk is running an illegal lottery under PA law.

Remember: When Musk announced the giveaway.... in PA nonetheless.... he said, "we are going to be awarding $1 million randomly." DA showed this in court to the judge.

Gober argued there's a difference between "randomly" and "by chance," which is why he argued that this isn't an illegal lottery under PA gaming laws.

So they are signing up to a job that then they can be fired from for any reason and no severance is offered? That might be how he avoids paying off the money but it would 100% be illegal.

So, either they are winners, which means it is a lottery, or it is a job then there can not be any condition for recieving your salary other than not being fired before being paid (and wouldnt particially salary still apply? Not sure how the US is doing this).

You got it wrong, they don't win 1M but they win a job that pays 1M. 😉
In that case they wouldnt need to work until they won the job, so no "Go Trump" until "I have earned 1m $ as my first salary"? 🙄
