Technically it required a two-thirds vote because of an earlier simple majority vote to suspend certain procedures, and a majority of Republicans voted to expedite. It still didn't even have majority support, much less supermajority. It was also a revision of a bill which had support to pass, removing the debt ceiling from budget deals until after mid-terms at Trump's urging (McConnell has repeatedly used the debt ceiling to forestall efforts by a Democratic-led Congress and Trump didn't want it to get in the way) and children's cancer research funding at Musk's urging.

The “right right” want everything in America, including jobs, for Americans, the poster explained. The “tech right,” however, want H-1B visas for “skilled” foreign workers because American workers “are re***ed,” and “you can’t out train” that, the poster added.

Musk responded Thursday night in a post that has been since deleted: “That pretty much sums it up. This was eye-opening.”

So basically the right split into two factions, tech right and right right, and the tech right is like "hey we need h1-b visa people to do the jobs," and the right right was like "no you need to hire americans," and the tech right was like "but you guys are ********," and the right right is like "well you don't train us," and the tech right is like "you can't outtrain being ********," and while all this was going on we learned some people really don't like Indians.

It should be noted this Twitter account is one of the few Elon loves retweeting & responding to very quickly, making it a strong assumption it's one of his alternate accounts & these are his own words about Maga folks.
