Why? This isn't a thread about Musk's achievements:Was expecting a documentary about Tesla’s gigafactories. Disappointing.
It just feels like Elon Musks's bad behavior is going to keep flowing and deserves its own thread.
Just from the thumbnail and the first 10 seconds of the video. Why?
Trying to find this denial online but can't. I've read that the German police say the photo is fake but it's a whole video so that sounds strange.Tesla denies this has happened, but anyway it is a truth nonetheless that the video tells.
No way to really pinpoint but to rely on what German Media reports.Trying to find this denial online but can't.
Here it turns into an even more strange situation.I've read that the German police say the photo is fake but it's a whole video so that sounds strange.
Not Nazi behaviour.
Unfortunately if you're the kind of person that has said that to yourself, you already know you'll never get one in the future. If you're the kind of person that's ever said to yourself... 'If I had a time machine, I'd go back and kill Hitler before he came to power'... you don't need a time machine anymore...
It's this one but not per your possibilities. Try the Gideon's 300 Pledge - it's a christofascist government infiltration thing.Or is he a radical Christian extremist?
Myself an @Omnis were talking something about Musk the other day actually, and apparently Bill Gates fits the bill unironically. I'm no liguist, I wish I could come up with a word more evil than "psychopath" to describe these people but I can't. Like Manson and Jones, the more I ponder it the more I believe these hyper wealthy people are dangerous to society and not necessarily because of their wealth. It's this one but not per your possibilities. Hmm, I wonder if Trump's supporters have welcomed him with open arms. He was amongst the people they loved saying were part of causing Covid or having a hand in it.Myself an @Omnis were talking something about Musk the other day actually, and apparently Bill Gates fits the bill unironically. I used to think Bill Gates was a man of science who accidentally got richer than he could handle. It only took him two words to spoil that for me.
Hol' up, we were what now?Myself an @Omnis were talking something about Musk the other day actually, and apparently Bill Gates fits the bill unironically. In this video, Bill Gates appreciates the fact that Musk is a "member of the Gideon's Pledge". I didn't know what that was and it took some digging. Honestly, the first hit was something about Gideon's Oath which comes from Magic the Gathering. Pretty sure that wasn't it, but if Google couldn't direct me to something important enough that Bill Gates would mention it in public then consider me worried that it's something weird as ****.
There are two other hits that kind of make sense. Gideon's Promise is an organization which - with initial funding from George Soros - supports public defense attornies, based on the Gideon v. Wainwright decision of 1963. But this organization is called Gideon's Promise, not Gideon's Pledge. Is Musk a huge fan of public defense and Gates just misspoke?
The third possiblity is the weird one I was worried I'd find. Gideons International is the organization that is responsible for distributing bibles all across the globe. They're the reason hotel rooms always have bibles in them, something which has always made my skin crawl. This organization does indeed have members and presumably a pledge or oath along with it.
Bill Gates doesn't make clear which "Gideon's Pledge" Musk is a member of. Is he a completely innocent Magic superfan? Is he an honorable supporter of public defense in court? Or is he a radical Christian extremist? And which of those three are important enough that Bill Gates would publicly cite it as an admirable trait of Elon Musk?
