So he's announcing that he doesn't know he's doing basically. "Hey, can you explain to me what you do, because I don't know and for some reason I'm in charge".

The Peter Principle somehow didn't apply to him.

It was apparently the German President's account that got hacked and changed to a Hitler page. As much as I'm sure Elon got a kick out of it, I don't think it's fair to blame him for a high ranking official having poor security practices.

Oh, he will never understand what they do. The post in itself is a clear sign that he has no idea how the federal institutions work.

It also has a pretty strong aura of "I was given the job to investigate how to improve government efficiency, but I have no qualifications to conduct investigations so I'm just gonna write an email and send to all and hope that will do the trick. Perhaps if I add a paragraph, where I threaten to dismantle the entire US government if they don't comply, they will agree to stop what they were hired to do and do the job I was hired to do instead."

I don't know what he was referring to when prior to the election he said he was going to prison unless Trump was elected, but I'd be surprised if he could manage to stay out of prison AFTER this. I bet that within ten years from now he is going to be behind bars or hiding in Russia.

Narcissists are generally just indignant and angry about death, thinking that it is beneath them and that they should not have to deal with the eventuality that everyone else made peace with. People like Elon don't suddenly become good people when they're close to the end, they just get angry and bitter that they're not above it.

A meglomaniac with exceptional PR that took him into the public eye, where the veneer was slowly eroded and the true right-wing baby slowly presented itself to those who had swallowed the previous spiel.

There's also little time to be had for self-reflection at the end of a life in the increasingly likely scenario that the cause of death comes an awful lot quicker than old age.
