This guy is so stupid it's barely credible.

I'm not 100% on the provenance of this photo but if genuine it appears some Tesla owners are rebadging their vehicles to avoid malicious damage from passers-by.
I'm semi-inclined to believe this, because if you are stupid enough to buy a Tesla Cybertruck, then you're stupid enough to think that rebadging it will stop people from recognising it as a Cybertruck.

It's not just Cybertrucks either. I've had several different sources showing Audi's, Honda's, Mazda's and even a Rivian badged Cybertruck popping up in my feed.

Tesla's badge is uniquely awful design, so I'm glad to see this. The cars aren't much better though, so it only helps a bit.

It's way better now than it was in the early days, from an engineering point of view. If you ever get to see early roadster badging you'll see something uniquely stupid (and some of my workmanship).

We've had reports here of people spray painting random Tesla's ... We are well know for our sheep in NZ but I'm not that happy that some Kiwi's are acting like sheep and just copying what others are doing elsewhere, as much as I think Elon is a real **** head, it's still not right damaging someone else's personal property ! (turns out some Kiwi's cant tell the difference between a Polestar and a Tesla but that's another story)

... So I had a thought, if everyone really wants to express their displeasure of Elon and Tesla, don't damage property just give every Tesla driver you see the good ol' Elon Salute

I'm pretty sure most Tesla drivers will soon get sick of being saluted everywhere they go !!

Tesla went from having the "Tesla Stretch" on its side, getting buyers to spend $100k on a car that was nothing like what $100k cars used to be, to people being so ashamed of them they put apologetic stickers or decals on them.

Apparently the theme of the last few years is taking something that's working extremely well and destroying it.

While I don't condone vandalizing someone else's property, saluting (or using alternative hand gestures) towards Tesla owners won't serve any purpose to let Musk know people don't like him.

Tesla's are being vandalized daily but Musk only cares when it's one that's still on a forecourts, yet to be sold. Where as knowing that if you buy a Tesla right now you have a good chance of it being vandalized OR becoming the victim of abuse, is driving people away from buying Tesla's, which is the point.
