Thanks bud.... hey how are your times so far? I can't seem to get a good time on Trial Mtn w/ the Miata. I think I have a great time with the Lotus at Mid-Field though....

I've really only had a shot at Trial Mountain and Midfield - got about 8 tenths under the Time Trial best time for both - I'm not having a go as I'm on holidays for a fortnight right in the middle of the dates, so I'm screwed time-wise.
Midfield was hilarious - I've been trying to post a time there for about a month, and kept spinning on the bad camber leading into the tight left into the tunnel.
Last night, sat down and ran the lap for the first time in a week, first lap absolutely stone cold, actually came off the throttle before the fast right and ran it 8/10s under the best mark, just like that. Bizarre.

Hmm...
I crushed the best lap time on Mid-Field by well over a second but I so far have only one race under the record at Trial Mtn., and that was JUST BARELY under the record. I must be missing something at that track....

I was struggling as well, you seem to need to hit early apexs in the MX5 to preserve revs - that first right hander after the tunnel, I found if you get on the kerb early you can hold a lot more speed through that otherwise tight right hander, and it's flat from there to the banked left hander at the end of the backstraight.
The MX5 is pretty soft in the suspension, so don't be afraid to get on the curbs at the apex.
After I set that time at Midfield I wasn't game to go back to it, in case I'd had a moment of divine inspiration.
Ironically, I'm struggling at Deep Forest, my favourite track - really struggling with the Skyline's reluctance to turn in on that fast left onto the pit straight. I get the feeling that if I get that corner right I'll set a quick one.

Finally got it! I think you were right, keep the revs up, but also you REALLY need to get on the power early in that car. The TCS kept intervening and disturbing the car - I would have been a little faster without it.

is this another "how many replies can we get thread?"
I guess it was bound to come, since pako put that 200 post requirement up.

I'm running the Logitech wheel and have taken the TCS and Stability Control off - best thing I ever did.
It's only going to intrude with production cars. Nice work though!
Nice to know I'm not a complete slug, then...

You can alter those things in Time Trial Mode? Wow... I had no idea....
