Endless Ocean is a scuba diving game for the Nintendo Wii. There are 2 games: Endless Ocean and Endless Ocean: Blue World.
The original Endless Ocean only featured one area you can go to, a group of islands called the Manoa Lai Islands. I don't know if it is fictional. In this game, there are certain missions you have to do in order to swim freely in the area. There are various locations in the Manoa Lai Sea, such as a sunken ship yard, an underwater cave, ruins, and even go deep (WAY deep) into the abyss. In the original game, there are 2 special animals (I call them "Legendaries") that can be unlocked after you beat the game. One is a massive white baleen whale called Ancient Mother, and the other is a giant great white called Magu Tapa. In order to unlock them, you have to find them.
Blue World features many more locations such as the Amazon River, Aegean Sea in Egypt, and even the North and South Poles. In this game, sharks and other dangerous animals can harm you. Luckily, there are tools to keep you safe (they become available after certain missions). In Blue World, there are 7 Legendaries (some you unlock throughout the story) that can be unlocked if you complete certain missions.
