anyopne having trouble with replay, i find that if you runs a short replay fopr a minute or so first,
then go to the long one for todays race, while its in the start up sequence , keep pressing buttons,
it may not work 1st time but generally i can get it to start like that , pain but at least you can watch it.
 
Great race indeed apart from some minor bumps from bake in first couple rounds, then I bumped into Logic in lap 31*, and true don't dance on a straight, just pick your line and stick to it. ;)

* logic: when you pass someone obviously slower, like me on rag instead of tyres, think of it. My car couldn't rurn as sharply as yours plus as I use cockpit view, you were all the time in my blind spot, so I did not see you at all. ;) :)

Anyway I'm very proud of myself and my 8th position. I did no major mistake and just 2-4 minor ones.

Oh and one more off-topic here guys: I'm hereby dedicating my today's personal victory and 8th overall position to my dog Mickey, who passed earler today aged 15,5.

sorry if i was in your blind spotm i gessed you would have the little indicater pointing left or right if someones there,
i did have a look and saw you there so i know we would be ok, and there is always a little bump during the braking phase if close, hard to judge the exact braking point if your on a different line than normal, anyway , i really didnt notice it much at all, and if it was my fault , i also apologise.
Good race though , continually saw you close behind for many laps , then pitstop phase you dissapeared, and then you were back aagain, lap after lap. it was a great great race though.

I know that indicator, but it works when you're right next to me, not in front of me to my right or to my left. Mazda has very thick A-column (we call here that way, don't know if it's correct in english. I mean the piece of metal between windshield and right window), so I can'T see a lot of things to my front-right. Anyway no need to be sorry for this, it's just that in this case I might hit you not seeing you. ;)

You got much better man. You're taking this very seriously, I see you practising every day, and it pays off. You're much faster now. Where are the days I flew past you saying "bye bye logic." ;)
This was my strategy. I started on RM for 13 laps, so I was doing 2:11 - 2:12-ish times (2:13+ on worn tyres), then I switched to RS for three 9-lap-stints, which got me around 2:10, a few laps even 2:09-ish.

Anyway I wanna perform well on Monza since I love this track, so we'll see about that the next race. :)

thats all good mate, yes i have practiced quite a lot , as i mentioned this is the first time ive ever done online racing ,
and sure dont want to make a fool of myself, as getting okd now, ill be 56 this year and like to think that i can think my way round in a more technical way , as i just cant match the fast guys at the front in speed.
As i struggle with huge oversteer especially on full tank i started on Hard fronts with soft rears , i knew they would last my tank full of 19 laps, and put up near the front of the chasing group, i then changed top medium fronts and soft rears with 60 litres of fuel and ran from lap 20 to lap 31 then onto soft soft with 40 liters , and was able to push hard near the end, as the tyres got softer with each stint i was able to keep the pace improving all race with 2.11 2.10 fist stint , then the same on the second stint amd ;ast stint managed to push hard and mostly 2.08 2.09 so well happy.
Last few laps Ekke and i were nose to tail, he had softs as well but had pitted a bit before me so i hoped his tyre wouldnt be as fresh near the end. on the ;ast few laps we were closing down Karsten who had held 5th for quite a while , and i guessed he could see up closing him down, i think he was on mediums and wa snearing 15 laps on them so they must have been a blt gone, and in the last lap we caught him and past him and then i was able to creep inside Ekke at the end of the hanger straight , so for me a really really great great race , i loved it.

You get a warning for this, please from next race try to be a little more patient, races are really long, you are fast, (i think you got the fastest lap, but i'll check in minutes) so no need to push your limit so much.

In any case welcometo the serie, you started with a bang!

@all i hope you all had your share of fun, it is a serie that requires a bit more training than one would expect, so keep up and better results will come!

lol yeah i know it was unjust of me but if he isn't ok with it i'm not worried for a penalty because it was unfair to ruin someone's race
 
Can't watch the reply, overall pretty embarrassed, being lapped sucked, certainly not as slow as that showing.

Think I just screwed up my strategy massively, didn't really have a clue on what strategy to run, in the end I ran 2 stops with RMs on both, certainly seemed the wrong way to go.

First stint was ok, constant 10s upto around lap 14, (had a coming together with Flanked on lap one, but as no reply I can't really comment) so was at the back, but made my way upto 9th before the pit stops but going to RMs again hit me hard, running 14s/15s due to the bug (lesson learnt) so I couldn't gain on people as reading the comments they were on RSs

Was pretty much on my own for the whole race tbh.

Overall glad to get Silvetstone out of the way, more confident for the next 3 tracks so onwards and upwards I guess.

Other thoughts would be get the room sorted early, for what ever reason I joined and it seem to be a public lobby, and why were people messing about with the settings. Once spec checks are done people shouldn't be going back into it.

I thought it was a great race, I once again made a few mistakes on cold tyres and spun at the start putting me in last place so to battle through and get 4th was pretty good.

Preisty It looked you just lost control and came across the track sideways, nothing i could do but hit you. It put me into the grass/wall area lol.

Yeah I thought that is what happened, I couldn't remember so wanted to get another view.

From the racing we've done I was pretty sure it wasn't related to you being a d*** lol

Ill try the replay again today doubt it will work .

I guess this will be one to look at when this replay bug gets fixed .

So many cars and all spread out must of been a very good race to watch .

Great racing with gprilli , i have 100 pct respect for this guy . Always a clean race with him , in fact its usually me hitting him . We have been racing since i started gt5 when he was a little faster than me . I had the advantage at silverstone , im sure he will have his turn soon .

Priesty sorry i should have told you that the mediums would have only been good for 1 stint .
 
Yesterday I did not had time to try and see the replay hope it works because this was a great race! I want to make some pictures of it...

Great fight Skeng, you've always been fast my friend and you got better in racing with PURE... Always a pleasure to ride with you!
Since this was my first time at Silverstone (I have not played the GT Academy session in summer with this track) I hopefully expected a podium result, but fighting for victory was very satisfactory in the end 👍

I checked in the statistics.... I made almost 1700KM now in Silverstone including race to train :lol:

I could stay if the races went on time and maybe 20 mins sorter, say an hour and 15 mins.

Playstation need to do some serious work. Softs and hards are ridiculous. Softs go on too long. stupid tyre bug. i know i wasnt just slow at end on RS as i was only doing 2.11 when 1st set was 2.06/7 My entire championship is ruined now :( looks like just RS for entire race :( disappointed as i thoutght i could definitely fight for podium, even win. oh well, can do nothing about it, just now know what to do next week. good win skeng m8 :) good race

Yeah with you on that, I started the race with RH front and RM rear.
Car was really slow but did manage to pit on lap 19, filled the car up and went RH front again but changed to RS rear.
What a mistake that was as the two fast 4th gear bends I just went wide all the time.
Ended up taking them bends in 4th!

Plus fuel did not seem to go as far so on lap 33 I pitted again and went RS front and rear.
Wow it was like driving a differnt car and I got a few 02:08 laps, alot better than 02:15

Flanked use me to get round a bend on lap one, them from what I saw he put you in a spin.
I was to rushed so had to just jump out at the end of the race, forgot to save reply :/

But if any one can view lap one take a look at Flanked pls.

Oh almost forgot I did jump into settings, to drop brake balance by 1 on the rear.
Just sort of forgot to do it, as it was as soon as I joined a room I had to join another room lol.

But looking at my first set of tyres I think I should of keep it as it was.

Anyway good racing not very nice being lap, but can only blame my driving on that.
Also car Bhp/HP limit on the first page, pls make sure you know it before race day.

all the test laps i have done with you guys and on my own have been at 310 bhp which i thought was my setting, its between 305 and 310 on the regulations page .
So my target - laps times-fuel and tyre wear have all been based on 310 bhp.
so when it was changed just before the race to 305 bhp i thought surely this cant be correct, then i noticed the room setting changed again and i then changed back to 310 bhp from 305 bhp.
I certainly dont want to cheat, but i really didnt know how much it would change everything with all the practice laps i had done, so guys , i am sorry, in the end i ran at 305 bhp and almost noticed no difference to be honest,
the only thing i thought was that at 305 i may have been able to make a 1 stop at lap 20 as on 310 bhp i ran out of fuel testing at 19.75 laps , but i still couldnt chance it without testing at 305.
Anyway , i will ask Karsten if he can change the settings on the regulations page to give everyones exact bhp as i will then know what i should be running in the race, as it was a shck to be told i was running 5 bhp less, again sorry guys i do know it was my fault and it wont happen again i promise.

I agree.

Concerning the late start it's partially my fault, but we had to restart room due to some racer not having befriended me so we loist much time...

@Kalem be sure to add me on psn and welcome onboard! We had 4 defections and one reserve promote already so i'm sure you'll get a spot. .ake sure to read the ruyles recap i popsted a few pages ago
 
Karsten, seems you are the only one able to watch the replay ? i have tried 10 times and it freezes just before the start, also i dont suppose you will be able to do a video commentry as its too large to export the file ?

No clue what you mean hp/bhp for all cars are correct on topic since weeks... Maybe u didn't notice
 
My bhp says 305 - 310 bhp , i assumed i would run at the most bhp i was allowed

It's 305bhp (uk spec) and 310hp (EU Spec)

Not that it's different spec it just the performance values between the UK Spec game and the EU spec game are slightly different! (If that makes sense!)

Easy mistake to make 👍
 
In the main page for GARAYA 305bhp/310hp

that means for people that have the game in BHP the limit is 305BHP which corresponds to 310HP for people with HP in the game

this was normal also in GT5... nothing is changed

oh, i am sorry, i had GT5 but had never really been in the settings or raced online, so this is all a bit new to me, i apologise about that, so if i am correct, i am sure my setting show in bhp in gt6, so i should always run 305 bhp and not 310hp , i didnt know, i just assumed that 305 - 310 would be what i might be changed to - or from if my car was too fast or to slow in adjustments made by Karsten, gosh , i feel stupid. 305 hp from now on, thanks for that .

yes ive just looked , i never noticed, is HP and BHP on the regulations, gosh what an idiot i am , sorry sorry.
