Endurance Race Bug Now Online with 1.07

The endurance race bug has been well documented here in the offline endurance events.

I can now confirm it is also happening online with 1.07.

I was having a great race with some friends at Monza last night and the guy leading was 1.2**s in front of me as he crossed the line just before the timer ran out and I crossed shortly after. All the timing splits still confirmed the gap was narrowing and it was the final lap. I slipstreamed him from the Parabolica to the finish and won (just). The results then changed and the game put me 1 lap down and said he won.

Suffice to say I was a little miffed by this and my pals had a great laugh. The good news is we are all really good friends and it was a fun event so no harm done.

So what has been happening offline is now happening online as well.

While I am having a whinge about this broken game we still can't turn off those stupid blue trace lines in "Qualify Alone" that was introduced with 1.06! :-(

The S/F line at Monza was messed up in GT5 as well, this is nothing new. If you had a close race there and won by a literal nose, you would often be shown in second place. I've also see the wonky timing thing before too in GT5 as you described it. Has this happened more than once and/or at any other track?

happend to me too , after a great race with @Litchi I finished first with 0.052 ahead .
in the results it showed me on P2 +1 lap .
results in the lobby I was listed like that :

1: gtp litchi 15 laps
2: kingklingeling -0.052
3: xxx. +3.xxx
4: xxx. +4.xxx
and so on .....
pretty weired , but gave us a good laugh
happend only once so far .
no invalid laps or missed pitstops were made

What track was that? We were thinking to change our format to timed 1h instead of fixed laps in one of my series. So maybe it's better to stay with laps for now.

At the very least you need to do some investigation yourself.

I have been in a lot of timed endurance races since 1.07 and this was the first I had a problem with them. Although, this was the first where there was a very small gap between first and second. An enduro usually spreads the field a little more.

At least now you can be happy that the tyre bug (seems) to be fixed ;-)
