G'day guys!

I've been fooling around with using softer front tyres for endurance races as it allows for even tyre wear.
However it has been brought to my attention that this may cause understeer as the rear end would have a slight tendency to slide?

What is everyones opinion/experiences on this? Should it be done or should it not be done?

I'm currently an hour into the 24H Nurburgring race, I'll give it a go as I'm B-Speccing it right now.

If you select softer compound on the front, the car may tend to oversteer a bit because the harder compound on the rear end doesn't have as much grip and can't sustain higher cornering speed. However, once the front tires wear out, the car will start to understeer because the grip on front will disappear and you won't be able to steer.

What kind of car are you using? Drivetrain will have big difference on your strategy.
