Hello all,

I wonder if there is any interest within the SNAIL community for two or four-hour endurance races, ran once a month. I'm thinking along the lines of restricting HP, PP, weight, and tires, but the choice of car and the tuning required to meet the restrictions would be up to the driver. Tire wear and fuel consumption would be accelerated in order to require pit stops during the race. Thoughts?

I want to try a dry run this Saturday using the Supra that @Nicktune chose for Sunday's race. I'm thinking a one-hour race with tire wear and fuel consumption enabled in order to require some pit strategy. SNAIL regs call for RH tires for the Sunday races, but I think that opening the choices up to all three of the racing tires will make things interesting. This test would be open to SNAIL members only. Thoughts?

I'm down, however I'm new to GTplanet and I'm not a SNAIL member, any advise on how to join?

Awesome! You can even put all three compounds mandatory to make 2 pits stops. Or 2 mandatory tires and an higher fuel consumption to force a second pit stop. Anything is possible!

As @radliffracing asked, maybe i’ll be free to help you in test run.

I'm thinking 3:30pm CDT. I'm just north of Dallas.

Thanks a lot!

I am based in Australia so the time difference would have to be considered. and could I recommend as in real endurance racing you have your GT cars racing their own race with in a race that would encourage driver's to take part.

I'm going to do some experimenting with the initial fuel load out, fuel consumption rate, and tire wear in order to get an idea of what settings to use.

That sounds great and maybe just thought I had you could a specific Pit window that they must stop between say as ie Lap 20 to 30 or if timed race then there would be a specific time window they must stop in.

Might have to reschedule this afternoon's race. We had some bad storms last night, and the wind blew the cover off of the box on the outside of my house and rain got in the electronics. I submitted a trouble ticket as soon as I woke up, but the tech may not get here in time for our race. I'll make updates as the situation changes.

This sucks.

Todd and I just finished up with the gazebo and I was just saying we missed the race. Unfortunate situation @TexHill but sounds like your getting upgraded at least. I'm hopeful I can make it for the rescheduled race.
