There is potential for this type of racing. When some of these initial kinks get worked out I suppose that we could do some remote enduro events.
It would need an initial driver sequence plan, and an ability to change that plan. I imagine setting up your pushes, or pace ups, pace downs and steady commands, pre-race. This would be static and probably determine the outcome more than it seems at first glance.
Most of all, imo, it would really require the ability to view for all participants. Perhaps it would require pre-established start times and need to shut the driver down prior to the race for security of availability.
If it were to work as the current remote racing events do I think it would really be anti-climactic. Not that our current system is, I love it. But endurance events would just be overkill without some new features.
Until then I am satisfied and having a blast.
