endurance with Bobs, woldn't be great?

for example instead of 16 drivers, to have 16 teams of three drivers and racing and pitting in etc.

There is potential for this type of racing. When some of these initial kinks get worked out I suppose that we could do some remote enduro events.

It would need an initial driver sequence plan, and an ability to change that plan. I imagine setting up your pushes, or pace ups, pace downs and steady commands, pre-race. This would be static and probably determine the outcome more than it seems at first glance.

Most of all, imo, it would really require the ability to view for all participants. Perhaps it would require pre-established start times and need to shut the driver down prior to the race for security of availability.

If it were to work as the current remote racing events do I think it would really be anti-climactic. Not that our current system is, I love it. But endurance events would just be overkill without some new features.

Until then I am satisfied and having a blast.

It seems like this could be possible in remote races if PD update the events with a longer race (Yeah the host would only have one driver but your friends could run up to 6).
Although this might pay out far too much XP for it too work fairly.

I have to admit, when I heard about B-spec remote I thought it would more along the lines of being able to start races like you would in the Lounge, just substituting Bobs for the meatsacks.

I'm pretty sure it would be easy to make endurance events in the future and modify the rules to allow the host to select multiple drivers.

I'm betting that PD is holding off on the long races for now just to make sure the new feature doesn't overwhelm their servers and bandwidth and effect stability.

The only decent way I can see this working is if all parties are willing to do the endurance. Some sort of flag to show they are happy to allow their bobs to do such races. I'm not completely against it, just at the moment seeing the game in its current form (remote races on a whole needs a bit of refinement).

If you have a regular group of people you remote race with and PD does eventually give us endurance remote races, you'd probably have to alternate who hosts every day because it wouldn't be fair to one person if his system was on all the time imo. Great idea though! 👍
