Engine swapped Cappuccino no longer usable in Tokyo 600?

After being able to purchase engine swaps I finally managed to build the Rx7/Cappuccino and won the (infamous) Tokyo 600. I was going to try similar builds for the old Abarth and Mini but after trying the same Cappuccino on Tokyo 600 post update 1.35 it seems to be completely unusable now. Once I get out of the tunnel on the main straight any slight turning on the wet surface sends the car into ridiculous out of control spins. I have tried racing hards, mediums, softs and intermidiates (which barely last a lap), and with and without stabilising and coutersteer assists. I used racing mediums before without issues, remaining tuning hasn't been touched.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, did you manage to find a tune that works because it seems a shame to not be able to use it anymore.

Have you tried maximising rear downforce, and turning down the front downforce? It should make the car more stable and shrink your PP (lol) so you can run more power. Also as mentioned below, sports tyres are much better in the rain.

Thanks everyone, it was the tyres in the end, specifically switching to sports tyres. This definitely must have been tweaked recently because prior the only bought tyres I had were racing mediums and I remember winning comfortably. Oh well, at least it still works just not as easily. Will try the abarth engine swap next, I've tried the mini but it's acceleration is too slow for tokyo 600.
