This is going to be extremely close at the top...down to the thousandth...as well as the bottom. I can see 1st through tenth places being separated by only 2 or 3 tenths on this one, as opposed to 8 or 9 tenths like Eiger.

It's also going to be wicked hard for pad users :nervous: because it will come down to following the perfect line and making the most minute, tiny steering adjustments. The key will be whoever can keep as close to 100% throttle as possible.

This should be very fun. Haven't really spent too much time on the Datyona Oval.

Ran 17 laps and got down to 93rd spot with a time of 51.153, im sure i won't stay their long

I chose this combo because it's not used in in TT comps often. It is quite hard to go fast surprisingly. It's one of those combos where you love it or you hate it.

wow,this is a surprise indeed!...
i can't remember doing a tt like this one ever...will be interesting to see if the top 10 on the leaderboard are clean laps or not...

will try some laps today.

spyrrari.

I don't think many of the laps in the rankings are clean.:grumpy: That's why I chose this combo, because this track isn't often used in TT comps.

Any Daytona Oval combo is hard, the problem is the car won't turn the corner without letting off the gas....hmmm, imagine that. I always thought that it was JUST left turns? No real skill involved here folks.

The official sarcasm post for the day!

well, wasn't that hard to go into the top 10...but i do feel the car is on the limit allready,it will come down to "steering with fingertips" now...lol!

having some wierd problems with my throttle pedal, sometimes while full throttle on the straight, the HUD bar shows i am not 100% full throttle while i have my foot down all the way....strange because it doesn't happen all the time...its very anoying though,it brakes the concertration a bit...:grumpy:
maybe i have to clean the inside of the pedalbox ??...anybody had this experience aswell??...or has any idea what this problem could be??

I believe theres a known problem about this... I dont remember where the thread is... something with a sensor connected to the pedals... I'm going to
look for you! I think they're called omni-something ... I forgot :grumpy:

-edit: Found it Spy... Its talks about the DFP... but I think the DFGT has the same type of pedals... so it should be correct what he says... take a look 👍

cheers fellow city man...will have a look, dankje maat,:)

EDIT:i just remembered i allready knew this thread and did the fix on this, but the problem i have now is not about loose potential meters ,its not that they are loose or move it happends when i steer a little, when i go perfectly straight all is well, but when i turn the wheel just a little the gas meter seems to interact with it....it seems to me like there is a electricity problem or something gets overheated....
anyway, again thanks for the search Blitz, but i think i am going to call Logitech if i can have it replaced because my force feed back is also failing after 30 minutes of play lately.......BUMMER!

EDIT 2:just called Logitech and will have my wheel replaced with anew one...hope this will go quickly!!

No problem... Steering wheel is of course an integral piece of the puzzle called GT... Really bad news when it doesnt work properly.. atleast for me :D

-edit: Oh nice one Spy! 👍 Hopefully they get it out to you quickly :)

this is probably a stupid question, :dunce: but i'll mention it anyway.
when did this problem start? did it just happen within the last couple of days?
if so, it might be possible that you have TCS on and don't know it. I know if it is even set on 1, you can't get 100% throttle while turning. Just figured I would ask...you never know. It might be something simple like that.
Just figured i would ask :)

Well after 2 sessions at this one, managed to slowly chop my time down to a .437, it's quite a complex combo even though theres only 2 corners! I noticed steering angle becomes paramount as you exit the sweepers, get it slightly wrong and u'll loose exit speed or hit the barrier:tup:

phew, that is a time 👍

after about 150-200 laps, down to 50.589.

I don't know if I'm maxed out, but I think I'm close

Mad, I think you made a good choice on this one.
It's fun to be able to stay within a couple of tenth's of Dan's ghost for a change :dopey: don't know how long that will last though, lol.

Around 80 laps and 28th...50.732...So im pretty pleased with that thus far..I'm hoping for around .6xx if poss...:)👍

I gave this +- 100 laps last night and was able to pull off a 50.662
(Got to position #20 by that and was 0.001 ahead off ripping_silk )
This will most likely be my submitting lap as I gave it pretty mutch everything the 6-axis has to give :mischievous:

MadMax

had another session this morning and improved a bit...👍
still having problems with my throttle pedal, but had a few "clean" laps and one of them whas good for 4th place in the rankings....
am in contact with logitech for a replacement of my wheel, but they are a bit slow...:indiff:

Just a newbish question.. does crossing the yellow line considered a run of area and there by not considered part of the track? Or it is ok to cross it? I tend to cross it very often at the start/finish line - so need to know if I should avoid that 👍

Although, crossing it is legal. But I need remind anyone who crosses it for the start finish line. Although you are cutting off race track, you really are hurting your lap times by doing so. The more steering input the more friction between the tires and the pavement. = Slow you down.

Anyways.
