Exactly.👍

And I think its closer racing also, when its not
taking so long to get back to track from sand or
grass.

Getting out of the sand with real grip reduction is quite ridicilous imo.And getting in to the sandtrap is like you are driving on ice.

Tarmac is the same no matter if the grip reduction is real or low. Only time you really feel the dirrerence is in the wet, and if you makes a mistake and one of your wheels touch some grass. A mistake is much more expensive with grip set to real.

Either way, just choose to participate in a league where the rules fit you.
It's great that we got so many leagues to choose from. You can always find a championship that suits your liking. 👍

Race Groups in Nurb this Thursday.
Group 1 hosted by Rickie(FittCP).
Group 2 hosted by Max(eppe00).

We are also going to try a new system here.
People MUST be in the room 19.45, after that the hosts
changes the rooms drivers number to fit the right amount.

So If You´ll be late and try to join the new room, the host
can nothing do than kick you out. This way the hosts can
make a relaxed quali themselves.

Easiest of course would be that everybody is in time, or
inform about not showing up.👍

Warnings from Tokyo:

Eqilla & Senna got warnings for not letting a lapping driver
past. Scanny didn´t inform about not showing up.
Ayrton caused avoidable accident.

Just done my first laps today, really improving on this track. I think I was getting 55s 54s last time and in 30 mins I got a 51 :D.

The Hockey finals starts tomorrow here in Finland, and
my lovely daughter Lisa(who is obviously not an HIFK fan),
had put this photo in the EGT500 pictures folder.:) Just
found it....

The lap times show a big difference in Real or Low Grip Reduction.

For the BTCC Series i set a 1:05.2xx around Grand Valley East at 500PP 355BHP restriction on Low Grip Reduction.

I then set it to real and i had perfect laps yet only managed a 1:06.7xx so it does show the difference

I just signed up for Thursday by myself 👍👍:)

I can't find a decent setup for this track,i'm having big trouble. I managed a 1'51.1xx. Probably i'm having the wrong aero settings, need to work on that.

Grip can be different even with the same settings but in different rooms, or same room at different times is my experiance.. Really hard to fighure it out what's wrong... Anyone else noticed?

And a little about yesterdays practice session:

When we practice we practice for the race day. Don´t
ram, block,change lines, corner-cut etc......
It kindof ruins the feeling getting bumped in every single
5 lap mini-race...

This.

And can people learn about attacking and defencive driving. As many people seem to think that it gives them the right to ram people off. Also i see alot of people running back onto the racing line when going off. If you go outside the lines or nudge a wall, it counts as a crash and so you give up any rights to the racing line. I get you want to get back on asap, but if someone is right behind you and faster, you MUST give it up.

Also, people's mindset need to change. When i go into a corner, i first think about surviving it with as little contact as possible rather than gain a place. I back off a lot to avoid contact but others tend to be more aggressive which ends in accidents.

Obviously we're not perfect, and we all have to practice, but i think afew people just don't understand either the rules or the different tactics involved, which 9/10 has lead me to have an accident which could of been avoided.

Jimmy again.. Yeah i totally agree we need to let people get to the limit they can on the track without being careless etc. The amount of times in an online race ive been shunted by a car coming back on track is unreal

Simo, Zkippe and the other fast Finns told me earlier, when
We practiced for Nordic, that grip level is different also
depending on what Race Quality You have the room set to.

Here We always have the setting to High, and Chat Q set to
very low. I think the fastest times You get with RQ set to
Very High and Chat disabled.

I also just assumed that setting the quality would change how smooth everything is and reduce frame drops...

Guess you'll beat me when you figured out the setup Peltonen ;)

Gonna be still tough race tomorrow.Wondering why ppl are so close to each other when track is this long and lots of places to **** up your lap.Almost forgat;improvement suggestion for spreadsheet, you could add positions to the left side of the sheet to announce position out of all and in your on racegroup.

I think in q on race day, under 1´51.5 is a very good time,
when people just have 3-4 laps chance of hitting 1 good.

Now these spreadsheet times is maybe again the best out of 200-300 laps as in my case....:dopey:

As much as i love GT5 and everything i still cant get over the fact why PD had to model the track physics/characteristics in such a weird way...

anyways, starting pratising today 👍

You are right, its how consistantly close you are to your best pace I think. Good to see everyone so close though, will be a good race. Nice time Rickie. 👍
