The ability to construct our own personalized events would add an immeasurable amount of game play to offline. This seems a no brainer of a request to me. It has been mentioned in other threads but an all encompassing request is the goal of this thread.

When the AI aggression was implemented for Arcade that was a step in the right direction but it's still difficult to set up a competitive field without dumbing down your car. Just takes too long to set up a satisfying race.

Some main points:
1. Sliding scale AI with more advanced intelligence. Eliminate the "parking" behavior for starters.
2. Unlimited car choice with ability to chose field behavior-some slow/ some fast etc..
3. Qualifying/standing start option.
4. Track penalties, damage option.
5. Ability to set up a season.
6. Unlimited lap count or races that are time based.

Racking up loads of credits isn't that important to me as long as there's a satisfying career. I'm sure there's other options I've not thought of offhand.

I think that their should be full racing careers in any field of motor racing that you want (excluding destruction Darby, any motorbikes, trucks). Any cars that race:

NASCAR, F1, Rally, TOCA, DTM, Go Karting, Le Mans.

I don't just mean half arsed attempts at them, proper full careers, maybe spanning about 10 years, and the ability to start in let's say Ginnetta Juniors and make your way up to DTM or TOCA, or even progress through Go Karts up to formula Renault and onto F1. Of course a livery editor should be included. When we get something like this then I will see it as a complete racing game.

Of course some people will complain that it isn't a racing "game" as such, more a simulator as the game pens itself.

As well as the points already made I would like the ability to reject opponent cars. For example with the current historic championship (all two races of it) - it is always dominated by the Toyota 7 and the Chaparral 2J. I would like to be able to reject those cars and have the game suggest alternatives - I could then continue to reject until I am happy with the selection.

this would be a sort of simplified event creator for when you dont have a lot of time!

Edit: Just to clarify, so that A spec events are not too easy it could be that you have to gold the events first before you unlock extra features which enable you to reject opponents. Also can I add extra tracks to existing championships or delete tracks from them after I have golded the original version

I would also like an event generator where I choose any cars from my garage that I want to race against - ideally I could tune them and select the tyres, transmission etc. If I am finding it too easy I would then be able as well as detuning my car I would be able to improve the tyres and setup of cars I am racing against.

For an event generator to work we would obviously need some different liveries - these could be created by the player or have an optiion where the game chooses so if I am in a Mustang v Camaro event there could be a wide range of possible liveries just as there are for helmet designs and patterns on outfits.

I would also like some more premium cars and for PD to think carefully about adding cars so that logical and entertaining events can be created. So for example McLaren M6 to go against the Chaparral 2D, Mclaren M8 and UOP Shadow to go against the chaparral 2J. Lola T70 to go up against the Ford GT40.

Some extra liveries or a proper livery creator are essential if there are going to be more of the same car racing. I would like some off the shelf liveries such as the famous gulf colours - although perhaps some of these liveries are copyrighted?

Knowing Kaz mentioned that the event generator is a good idea, GT6 needs to have many events, including all different kind of events at least similar and on par with GT4 or better.

Why?

Don't misunderstand. I'd like to be able to have different liveries for the cars, but I don't know how we "need" them. When I create an event in Forza, it's unfortunate that duplicates of the same car on the grid are all the exact same color instead of randomly selecting different colors for them, so an option to simply make them different colors would be nice, but I don't see how we "need" this, let alone "need" liveries for this. "Want" maybe, but not "need".

I sort of agree with you. I want something with an events creator but I also want a full career story mode. Kaz said he wanted to capture the human emotion by the people that got to the finals of the GT Academy. My thoughts are by creating a story mode. Not a thing like a grand theft auto but where you start in Karts, go to "banger racing" and so on. Until you reach the peak of Motorsport, but not a single route. You can pick, whether you go with NASCAR! Or DTM! Or Super GT!

Anyway that's what I want in a car game.

However, I don't want to be stuck racing Go Karts, just cause I am at that point in my career mode. Give me something the same as GT5 in there, but an events creator too.

Yea, that's what I meant. Except you wouldn't be stuck in go karts or whichever, you would have the option to advance onto whichever form of motor sport you liked. Obviously you would have to complete some form of challenge or trophy, no not like in GT5, and then someone from a league above yours would approach you as to entice you to their team, you could get paid a salary, starting off small, let's say £300 - £400 per week leading up to the millions that F1 and NASCAR drivers enjoy. Also the credit cap would be removed and the value of cars may have to be increased, maybe to real life prices?

Most of the human emotion in racing is enjoyed outside of the car, yes driving is a massive part of it but so is the race prep, choosing the car, setup, sponsorships, liveries, and strategy.

Now as well as a full career mode, we should have an A-Spec mode not terribly dissimilar to GT5's, yes the AI could be improved, but I don't think it would be that bad next to a career mode like the one outlined.

Also a B-Spec mode, albeit greatly improved. Aswel as seasonal's.

Now I don't know how much a disk for the PS4 is capable of holding (I say PS4 because I think that's we're we will see the next GT) but I think that of these ideas could be implemented then Kaz should do all he can to make sure the are. Even if that means lowering the car count in favour of more cars that people actually use.

Would also make sense to have the accelerated time (or whatever it's called) option for tracks which support day/night cycles. Add weather/chance of precipitation to the list as well.

As for the rewards, I reckon it would make for a much more involving game if you got more credit/xp for a strong result (not necessarily first) in a similar car to the competition, than cruising to the win in a disproportionately powerful car.

It's frustrating that this discussion is happening in the GT6 forum, when it would've been such an obvious thing to include in GT5.

^ well we basically have that (albeit without credits/xp earned and no refresh of the UCD) in arcade mode. And it's not good. Allowing PD to randomly "generate" our opponents is not really working out.

We need to be able to set the field with any car from the game, including our own garages. Tuning them individually would also help immensely. Maybe then we could actually have battles for the LEAD instead of the lonely time-trial-to-catch-a-rabbit that we have in 95% of all GT races now....

I would love to see an Event Generator in Online Mode. Let me set up a series of 3-5-10 races upfront (LP-limit per race, number of laps, ...) and please make the game automatically assign scores to players after the races.
