There can't be a definite time for when making double-posts is okay. But you saw both posts and then still decided to quote them separately instead of just multiquoting them like almost every other user does.
If you replied to something and then maybe 5 other posts were made while you were writing it might be okay to then quote one of the 5 new posts in a new reply, but even then using the edit button and maybe some basic knowledge of BB-codes would also do the trick. Idk if users get notifications when mentioned in an edit of a post, but maybe @SlipZtrEm can answer this question?
Also double-posts are allowed when you have a gallery for photos/liveries and nobody replied to your previous post or just want to separate two different photosets to keep an index clean or something.

how do you know what I saw and when? are you watching me through the window?

"Might" be OK? well is it or isn't it? I need to know cause golly gee I don't want to get in trouble for being in the hall 5 seconds after the tardy bell rang.

If I am going to get called out on the rules shouldn't they be clear? if there is a "might" I would say the rules are about as clear as mud.

Don't know either, and it would be problem if they didn't. Hey if it is so damn important to group quotes why does the software not make it easy? why do I have to edit code just to adhere to the rules of a public forum?

And here is the REAL question. Were you HARMED by my double post. Were you somehow injured by the necessity to scroll just a tiny bit further to see my reply to a different user. Would you like to file suit against me for pain and anguish?

If you had have given him a bit more space the majority of all of that would never have happened.

I’m not sure if I’ve missed someone else mention it, but your punt at the end looks like a failed late braking attempt that you’ve then claimed to be a revenge move.
If you were planning to ram him off, why did you start braking quite a way back from him? Punting soneone off usually involves flat out homing missle style driving.
You started braking when you were two cars behind him.

Not too good with physics huh? well let me help you out.

Had I not braked at all from that speed I would have shot past him and straight into the wall. Notice he had not even started his turn yet when I started braking.

never mind, yeah I just accidentally took out the same guy who took me out two laps earlier because I late braked the most difficult late braking corner from the inside while trying to pass three cars. You got me.

Uhh bouy! the freaks really come out at night don't they?

This would've sent him into the barriers too whereas doing it under braking allowed him to both take somebody else out and make the corner. which is an even worse move than just missiling someone off.

And no, double-posting doesn't harm me, but if everyone does it because they think the rules don't apply to them since they read them better the forum will be overfilled with useless posts.

EDIT: tree'd

You don't like it, clarify the rules and don't word them so vaguely.

They've been clarified the last three times, when your double-posting was explained to you, and you were asked to stop. You've ignored that, just as you've repeatedly ignored this part of the rules (which you agreed to when you joined the site):

You will not behave in an abusive and/or hateful manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack any individual or any group.

You're seemingly taking this personal. It isn't — we've had to remind people of it before, and we'll undoubtedly have to in the future too.

Idk if users get notifications when mentioned in an edit of a post, but maybe @SlipZtrEm can answer this question?

Due to the nature of the forum software, tags don't notify users when edited in. I'd never recommend editing in a response to a post that shows up further down the page than where the response will now be (say, if this response to you was an edit tacked onto this post), because not only does it lower the chances of the person you're responding to reading it, it also makes the thread narrative hard to follow for all other users. It ends up a bit like a Terminator timeline, really.

Unfortunately, it now seems like the OP would rather go down the reductio ad absurdum route instead of the original topic. I'll leave this open for now in the hopes that it can go back to a proper discussion on what may or may not warrant "clean" driving.

They certainly do, this thread being a perfect example!
If you start a thread like this you need to be sure your own driving is pretty damn perfect, or the whole thing will backfire spectacularly, exactly as it has.
Your track etiquette around him speaks volumes of your racing craft.
This thread hasn’t really gone as you planned has it ;)
